This is from my N5 (without the latest 4.4.1 update). It took me a few tries to get a good one, as would any point and shoot camera for this type of action, but I don't know what more you could want from a cell phone camera. I guess some people can find fault with anything. It was shot in Action Scene Mode, and it's cropped in to about 1/4 of the actual image. This phone and it's camera are awesome.

There's no blur. What has everyone been talking about with blur!?

Good question. The only time I've experienced blurry photos is due to operator error, by moving the camera before it's finished taking the picture. I'm up to over 300 photos for work, and none are blurry. Some pictures include welding and grinding operations, and the flying sparks were captured clearly.

But the post brings up a good point. If there is any motion in the shot, I use sport mode. Maybe this is part of it?

We should repeat that in a new thread because I believed the nonsense about blur (I don't really bother with photos myself, but they were all repeating bs about blur).

I think the issues are more with close up shots getting the focus set. This pic is a bit farther back so it was able to focus better. The 4.4.1 update appears to fix this.

Regardless this is a fantastic photo.

tbh I'm not sure. since it was my first time using it and I wanted to snap a quick pic I just said ok to the beginning questions you get. I'll be using the camera alot tomorrow so I'm hoping to see better results. I havent gotten the .1 update yet.

Is there a "burst" mode with this camera?

The HDR+ pics seem to have sharper detail. I like all these photos everyone's been taking. Wish I could get around more.

These are HDR+, on 4.4.0 camera (Key West Sunset last week). Really impressed with how little noise this camera produces.

Camera functions on 4.4.2 is a HUGE improvement over 4.4. Great update.

Can anyone (those with the latest update) compare the quality, especially the shutter speed and overall speed to the iphone 5s or Moto X.

I'm sorely disappointed with the Moto X's camera but would like to stay with Android rather than going back to the 5s. The thing stopping me is the camera on the 5s is great, it is fast and takes good quality shots.

Just a couple of quick snaps with 4.4.2 that I got just an hour ago. I'm having decks replaced and Kate has been busy with her Christmas tree.
