She's in my hands!!!!

I got my S3 about 2pm today .Been putting it though some standard tests. This thing is gunno have great battery life. After I activated it ,the battery was at 32% I think now its at 15% with screen time on of 2 hr 40 min .
I downloaded google wallet(from a link in another thread) it downloaded fine but opening the app it said not supported in your country and closed down so I dont think its gunno to work on a stock S3.
So far my signal strenght has just been a little better then Nexus. The sounds to me are louder then on my Nexus, not really wild about alot of the stock ring tones but that can be fixed ha .
Edit i guess there is a wifi toggle then ha

so now that you have the S3, do you prefer it over the gnex? if so, why?

As far as reception......phone and data........even comparing decibels isnt gonna do too much good unless the phone has ICS. Just try it in places the G Nex didnt do too good.

ICS does show a more accurate 4G signal. I really found this out when the RAZR got ICS, even after ALL the threads and articles about the G Nex.....we never could compare another phone with ICS until recently. My bars and decibels got worse, but speeds didnt and I didnt drop calls. On GB....-104 meant the call was breaking up or on the verge of dropping on my phone. -104 on ICS is no problems. My decibels got about -10 decibels worse going from GB to ICS for 4G.

So you can only really compare it bar and decibel wise to a G Nex or a RAZR on ICS, or another phone with ICS.

Its to early to say if I like it over my Nexus yet .I do like it tho so far .I know I will love the stock battery life its gunno be alot better then GN already know that .
My nexus with stock battery at best I could get 20-22 hrs light to moderate use .Anthing over 15 hours and I am happy with tho .
The S3 as I mentioned had 32% battery life upon turning it on for first time ,been setting it up and making sure of stuff working corrrect 8 hrs later battery life now 11% screen on time 3 hrs .My GN wouldnt have lasted that long .That is without using the power saver features.
Of course I will eventually root and custom Rom it since thats how I roll with all my android phones I had previously . :)

Where are you guys checking the status of your GS3s? The preorder Verizon site? I'm just hoping that you're looking somewhere else because it's saying that mine won't ship till the 11th...:(

I'm using the pre order site to check and mine also says shipping by the 11th. I pre ordered on 6/23, when did you order?

as long as it holds a connection and does not drop calls/data I will be happy. That was my main gripe with the g nex was the data and connection drops. Hopefully my sgs3 when it comes does not have the same issues that many had with gnex( luckily I was fortunate to not have these issues).

My mistake. There is a WiFi toggle.

This is not the same as the ones on the international versions and the other US variants. God I hate how Verizon screws us over somehow. Looks like I'm rooting

It makes no sense why Verizon would have the wifi toggle moved.

A toggle gets moved less than an inch down the screen and you think Verizon is screwing you? Wow.... Now if they had removed some sort of functionality, maybe I could understand.

Can you disable the notification toggles all together? I prefer the Widgetsoid ones much more...

It doesnt look like a toggle but merely a shortcut to take you to the Settings menu. Can someone verify whether it works as an actual toggle or is just a shortcut to the settings menu? If so, that will be a deal breaker for me. Why add a settings toggle bar when the most used toggle is removed? Verizon really shows its stupidity here.

Wow one button is going to be a deal breaker really?
