Shipping notification....Who's first?

This my be irrelevant at this point in the game but my order status changed to this...

Your order or a portion of your order is in backorder status. If you would like to select an alternate product or cancel your backordered item, please call 866-789-8292 between 8:00 a.m. EST to 11:00 p.m. EST Monday to Friday or 9:00 a.m. EST to 9:00 p.m. EST on Saturdays and Sundays.Please note that cancellation requests may not always process successfully due to the speed of warehouse processing.If you cancelled your backordered item but still received a shipment, please refuse the shipment or call us to process a return within 14 days of receipt.

Lol I think they're just having fun playing with our emotions. But we will see the big day is getting closer.

Did everyone get that status change that preordered? Man, what a f*** up if this is true. Might as well just show up to a Sprint store on Friday morning @8:00AM if I don't see a shipment confirmation by Thursday.

Just checked my order status....same thing, and I pre-ordered day 1 within the first 5 minutes for 2 devises.

That message is from Sprint's website for those who preordered. I got the same one too.

I have the same message... However, I also noticed it said this for awhile on the seventh a little while after I pre-ordered it, between the time they changed their standard order status message to the special EVO 4G LTE preorder message... this may be a generic placeholder message stuck in there while they update the message to something else... Or maybe that's just wishful thinking

We can only hope. If sprint screws this launch up i have a feeling they will lose quite a few customers..

Yeah I think I remember the same message before now that I think about it. I think we should stay optimistic about this folks... now come Friday and we don't have our phones... that's another story.
 
I think tomorrow we'll get our shipping and tracking number information sent to us or another promotional EVO 4G LTE email from Sprint. I'm not worried. And I'm patient...
 
For some reason it's down now. Go to Sprint.com, log into your account as you normally would. Click the drop down arrow to the right of your user name and account number, go to "see bill history", then go to "see my order history". I've notice my order number is slightly different.
 
Anyone order it from Amazon? Mine shows a delivery date of 5/22.

Same here.

I ended up canceling my WireFly order after getting an update of "2 to 3 weeks" like someone else here did. So I went on Amazon and did it, and they gave me a 5/22 date. If it comes sooner, even better, but I'm good with that.

Wouldn't worry about this at all.. Sounds like standard boilerplate for anything ordered but not in immediate stock, which would be the case for a Pre-Order item. Seems like a non-issue.

I just put in the different order number on the order status page. The product ID is the same, but the description says "HTC X325C BAR PHONE" and there's no status message.
