Raoul_Sup: There was a tracking number created for your order of the HTC EVO LTE on 5/12, but do to legal reasoning, there has been a delay in the shipment of actually two new HTC devices, including the EVO LTE.
Raoul_Sup: HTC is working with U.S. Customs for a speedy resolution and your pre-order fee still holds the device. Once resolved, we will do our best to ship your new HTC EVO 4G LTE to you before others get a glimpse. During this pre-order period, we will send you a confirmation email. An email with your tracking number will be sent upon shipping.
You: So if my perception of the situation is correct, my phone shipment has been prepared, but Sprint has decided to just not ship it out?
You: I understand the customs situtation as reported by many outlets
You: What I do not understand is why shipments all ready to go have not been released
You: As you could imagine, there are many frustrated customers including myself that just wish for some transparency. Order status messages have been changed about 7 times already

Sprint would actually love to ship out the phones, as most of them are sitting in our warehouse ready to ship, and our stores ready to sell. U.S. Customs has placed a stop to any further importing or distribution of the HTC devices, until HTC resolves the issues with them.
You: Ok, I really appreciate this transparency. Thank you. Any details about when you might expect the gates to reopen
You: and the product allowed out the door, or whether pre-orders will have priority over retail store deliveries
Raoul_Sup: I absolutely understand the frustration from any of our customers. This is definitely not an event we are anything less than happy about, but we are confident that this will be resolved in a timely manner so we can give some up to date information.
You: OK, I would guess that's all you know at this point.
Raoul_Sup: I actually just received communication that we are to look out for an update on the current events shortly, so as soon as we get it, we will start dishing it out to the consumers.
You: It really has been a treat speaking with you today, first real details I think any of us have heard right from the source
You: I think that you may be able to ship out current stocks if my knowledge of these ITC blocks is concerned
