Shipping notification....Who's first?

Looks like ISN has been cut out of the information loop now too. Maybe it wasn't a coincidence that the afternoon call was rescheduled to a time when ISN could not attend.

If not, how pathetic is it that even someone in ISN's position can't get ANY information about the launch that is supposedly only two days away.

What kind of person continues to work for a company like that?

I have a feeling ISN is either not actually the true "mole" we think, or that he is lying to us because the heat on him is way too hot right now. They probably limited the amount of people on the call today, and he's nervous about publicly saying he knows the information and is trying to pretend he won't know it for a while longer.

Third scenario is that they pretty much know who he is and are now either excluding him or are making sure it's him to bust him or whatever.

Either way, I don't get why Sprint would hold information on when people can buy their product and extend their expensive contracts like it's a damn company secret. This is so asinine.

I would assume the general public is even worse off. Look at all the disinformation that every single person who calls Best Buy or any other retailer is getting. Most people are being told the phone isn't coming out till August or July. That is not the kind of thing that is going to help sales. Competition is tight from all sides and Sprint should be doing their hardest to make sure everyone is on the same page and knows what is going on.

What do we get instead? Absolutely nothing, at all, when it comes to the majority of customers. It's just..unfathomable, why they would operate this way. It's not like they haven't received and shipped a phone launch before, they know the timing of things once it leaves customs.

Regardless - we all Pre-Ordered an item. Which means we paid for something before it was released to the general public. In ALL of the Sprint updates since May 7 @ 6am PST when I placed my order - the verbiage has always been "we'll do our best to get it to you before the national launch" or "we'll do our best to get it to you on or before national launch" or even on May 17 when they sent the email about the customs delay "Sprint will maintain the promise for the pre-order customers that they will be among the first to receive their HTC EVO 4G LTE phones." Even now on my order page: "Thank you for pre-ordering the EVO 4G LTE. We will do our best to get it to you by Thursday, May 24.".

No where ever did they guarantee a delivery date, that we would have our phones within X amount of days after payment, or even that we would get it before the general public. I admit they could've handled the PR on this better, but they haven't actually broken any agreements or promises. We just paid for the phone in advance of release - and the phone hasn't been officially released yet.

Patience is a virtue young grasshopper... your phone will come... via UPS... on or before the day the public can buy it in a store... all is well Woo Saaaaaa

I'm not a Sprint.com pre-orderer. If I was, I wouldn't be complaining because they have their 5/24 date. It is wrong though to say Sprint never said a date. Their website said May 18th and then they changed it back to a general "launch" term.

What is very frustrating is how Sprint can't give anybody any information about when to expect these phones in-stores, or if they're even headed there at all right now. How could they not know? Why would it be a secret?

Yeah, this worries me greatly...I am afraid tomorrow we are going to see all of our pre-orders change back to "national launch". There will be some lame excuse that demand far outpaced supply and they do not have enough to fulfill all pre-orders.

What's everyone gettin so squirmy about again? Nothing has changed that would be contrary to most of us getting our phones by Thursday. Chill! Sprint told us we're getting our phones by the 24th just yesterday. What other update are you guys waiting for? If they're shipping tonight, you won't see any change in your status until very late this evening.

Everybody chill! :)

Everyone wants tracking #'s and emails from Sprint or Best Buy

They don't understand it's Tuesday the 22nd

I would just like a tracking number so I have an idea of when to take my lunch on what day so I can grab my phone off my porch, apply the screen protector, get it in its case, and enjoy using it.

I have been without service for over a month now (my decision but still) and I would like to have a phone number to give my parents, friends who have been trying to contact me, etc.

Not having a phone number is like lacking an identity.

No. As one of the most active complaining people in here right now, nothing I am talking about as to do with tracking numbers or Sprint.com pre-orders at all. It comes down to Sprint giving no information to anybody except Sprint.com pre-order people. How do they not know anything about any other aspect of their launch? Why are potential customers not being told when to expect phones in stores? How and why is Sprint not disclosing this after over a day of having control of the phones in their warehouse?

WOW there some whiney people on here

You ain't kiddin. This is unreal. I am hitting F5 as much as anyone, and I was hoping to be surprised with a nice package from UPS when I got home this evening... but all you people who are acting like Sprint has done you wrong need to grow up.

When we preordered, no launch date was given. Then, Sprint cited a launch date of 5/17, and then the ITC/Customs thing happened. Sprint sent all preorder customers an email with an update. Sprint posted to their community boards and on social media outlets when the EVOs cleared customs. They've updated our order status pages to say that they'll do their best to get us our phones on or before 5/24.

Sprint has done PLENTY to communicate the status of this phone to us. Ultimately, the delay will be a week or less. Aside from the fact that we all want our shiny new toy NOW, WTF is the big deal, really??

And for those who didn't preorder, why exactly would you expect Sprint to actively publicize this unfortunate and embarrassing SNAFU??

The Sprint.com pre-order people are set, I agree.

What about the majority of other retailers and ways to purchase the phone? Where is the information for all of those areas?

Honestly, I think most of them have moved on by now.

Who cares? You are going to have your new phone in 2 days. At this point I could care less if Sprint sent out any type of communication about the phone.

How do you know this? Sprint hasn't said a word about any release besides the pre-order people, who were always said to get it early, so it's not like that date is all encompassing at this moment, especially since even the Sprint Insider doesn't know when retailers are getting the phones.

Now knowing that you aren't a pre-order in my opinion makes all of your complaining more pathetic.

I pre-ordered, but at Best Buy. I did the same thing for the original Evo and got it the same day with zero issues. Why would I spend $50 more for no reason?
