Shorter battery life with Kit Kat on the Nexus 4?

Had the same issue with 4.4 on my nexus4. Updated to 4.4.2 with same problem. What worked for me was unchecking device manager. Goto setting, security, device administrator. Battery drain has improved tremendously. May be due to the OS update defaulting to configuration.

You are talking about unchecking Android Device Manager? That's something pretty important, it allows you to wipe the phone if it is stolen. Guess you have to weigh the security this provides against the battery savings. My N4 is still doing OK with the battery using 4.4 and 2x Battery Saver.
