That helped loads! Thanks alot! I've just gotten a BT version and am excited to use it!

Congrats, you will spend hours on installing new watch faces, haha!! Although I now have dozens and dozens installed, I like the digital watch-face series with the name of "Iris" such as "Iris26", etc. It's hard to settle on just one watch-face, and you will probably keep changing the face every day or even every hour, haha!

Definitely! If you fancy a hybrid (analogue and digital), in my opinion, this one is the best on the market. Highly customisable, loads of data and an incredible AOD (Watch Always On) display:

Here it is on my wrist...

Wow, very nice watch face! Yes, I totally dig the hybrid digital/analog watch faces, I have for many years! It reminds me of my old Tissot Touch watch with its analog hands and LCD screen showing day/time/date info. At one time, I wanted to buy a high end Breitling analog/digital watch, but the $8,000 price tag was a bit too much for me. Now I can simply change the watch-face on my Galaxy watch to match the same functions of a Breitling watch, haha!

Yep and thousands more functions than the Breitling, too!

I sometimes go to a Barnes & Nobles bookstore to browse through their magazines. A couple years ago, I was reading a watch magazine that says watch sales are on the decline due to the advent of the Apple watch and other related smartwatches. That article was a couple years ago, I can only imagine that sales are worse nowadays.

For a long time, smartwatch sales were stagnant with only a relative few owning them. In the last few years, this has started to change, mostly due to the popularity of fitness tracking. What's interesting about the Galaxy Watch is that not only is it an excellent fitness tracker (incredibly so by using the Gear Tracker App), but with the round face and rotating bezel, it's also a digital timepiece in its own right, also thanks to some extremely talented watch face designers and the capabilities of the watch. With its square face and other limitations, the Apple Watch just can't do that (but I still think its a great smartwatch which excels in some areas). In my opinion, Galaxy Watch has everything covered and appeals to me not only for its functions but because I also enjoy the look and feel of quality watches.

Yeah, totally...agreed! Having this new Galaxy watch on my wrist for the past several days reminds me of that Star Trek show, The Borg, whereby you will be assimilated!! So, I have been assimilated by the Galaxy watch! My previous so-called smartwatch (sarcasm intended) was a first generation Fitbit H.R. model that kept track of my steps, heart beat rate, and sleeping pattern. But the thing was made so cheaply that it literally fell apart at the seams from where the wrist band meets the LCD panel. I will never get a Fitbit again! The Galaxy watch on the other hand seems like it's made from quality material, plus it looks good on my wrist with its black on black design! Granted, I still think my Citizen Skyhawk Ecodrive titanium analog watch will outlast my Galaxy watch in terms of overall longevity, but I'm getting way more mileage and fun out of my Galaxy watch now! Alas, my Citizen watch is now feeling lonely without its owner.

I loved all of the Star Trek series, including the original with William Shatner. And I think the Borg was somewhat of a prediction (as were the mobile phones and the medical scanners and talking to a computer to operate it. Gene Rodenberry was a futurologist!). But yeah, The Borg in terms of how we are all plugged into the Internet at all times. If you ever go into a library these days and see everyone lined up with their laptops and macbooks plugged into the mains, with buds and headphones in their ears, honestly the first thing I think of is The Borg!

As for your mechanical Citizen, yeah, just like me and my Tissot and Seikos. I love them but they don't get a second look these days. But maybe I'll unplug from the Borg one weekend and find a cabin in the countryside, leave my phone and Galaxy Watch behind and slip on the Tissot. But it will only be for a weekend... then I'll assimilate again!

Yes, the original Beam Me Up Scotty series was a one of a kind best!

But I draw the line on a V.R. Headset, nope won't be wearing one any time soon, haha!

Yeah, with you on VR headset! But do you remember the Google Glass experiment? That was interesting and I bet it will come back. And contact lenses that display digital information will be a thing of the future too, I bet. I highly recommend a book called 'Physics of the Future' by Michio Kaku if you are into this stuff. Basically predicting devices and inventions of the future based on the laws of physics and nature. Fascinating.

Yeah, I remember the Google Glass thing...there was a huge backlash against it. Funny thing is that I'm only 45 minutes away from the Google headquarters, but I never saw anyone wear one.

Yes, the future is both exciting and scary at the same time. My biggest challenge nowadays is keeping track of so many diverse charging cords and bricks for so many different devices. I wish someone would make a universal charging cord for all things digital! You can't believe how many different micro-USB cords I have! I'm guessing close to a hundred.
