Ok, I have a moto g 2nd gen and I'm thinking about upgrading to a 3rd gen. I have read as much info as I possibly can but I'm still stuck. Is it really worth upgrading?

I use my phone for my business and personal use so I have a lot of data and apps that I will need to have on the next gen, is it easy to move a lot of data? One thing I love about the 2nd gen is the flashing indication light, I have read that the upgrade doesn't have that, what do they have in the place of it? Also, I read on one of yours post about downloading "noled" from play store, can I have more info on that please.

So my questions are
1) is it worth upgrading
2) is it easy to move all data and apps to the upgraded phone
3) what's in the place if the led flashing light
4) what is "NoLED)
5) what's new about masrshmellow

Thank you for all your help and comments.

Re: Help deciding on upgrage of moto g!

There is no LED however the G3 has moto display which has pros such as
•More info
•doesnt pierce the dark when you try to sleep
However, it has a few cons:
It is hard to see when you have a notification from a few metres

nop..not worth upgrading! I upgraded from 1st gen to 3rd gen and I would say it was not worth it.. I liked the size of the 1st gen much better as well, and no notification light sucks hard. The only positive thing is that it has a bit better camera but thats all!

And most models are updating to marshmallow, and a front facing speaker, and moto actions, assist and display, and a screen which isn't tiny, and cameras which aren't awful.

Thank you for your help although not all was to helpful :) I'm coming from a 2nd gen so I'm aware of the size and even though it does feel a little clumsy sometimes, I'm happy with it all round. I came from a Nokia lumia 520 before I brought the 2nd gen.

What about data transfer? Do i have to Bluetooth bits separate or is there a way to do it in one? Also, someone told me that the 4th gen might be available from may??
