I am new to Android Central. I have been a loooong time CrackBerry user and finally switched to GS III. With all my past BBs I used extended batteries with no issues. With GS III some of my friends are saying that Samsung phones can get damaged (electronically) over the long run if I use extended batteries. Is this true or is it just an opinion?

SEIDIO | Innocell 3500mAh Super Extended Life Battery (w/ NFC) for Samsung Galaxy S III

Would you buy that battery for your own phone?

Seidio has a very good reputation and I have been eyeing this battery myself. What I like about it is that they also offer a case and belt clip specific to this battery. Their cases are very good. The problem is, it is darn expensive. I have seen many posts about the Hyperion battery and good results with it. These are on Amazon for around $20. Of course none of us can answer what the long term impact of using an extended battery on this phone. I am hoping to hear from others with more Samsung experience and the use of extended batteries.
