Portrait Mode. S21 Ultra. Considering she is sitting right in front of a bright window abouto a foot and a half away I'm quite happy with the unedited results.

I don't dislike it lol. The camera opens up more possible shots, like that was with the 3x. Portrait mode however I find slow, hard to get that quick really good shot.

Believe it or not I only took a set of 3 shots in Pro so far and this was the best. I can post the other two if there's interest.

Considering that there was bright sunlight coming in the window which would have posed similar difficulties for my DSLR, I think all three were adequate for online media and this one was really the best.

In all cases if you pixel peep you can see the processing that isolated the subject and blurred the background. Unlike with a DSLR and lens where you use the lens quality and aperture to produce the bokeh.

Having said that, I think that the effect is fine for casual photography.

Yeah, looked really good! In the original post you said portrait mode and in this one you said PRO mode, can I check which mode it was?

Sometimes the point-and-shoot photos turn out the best! I was wondering what breed of parrot she was! Beautiful bird!

Samsung renders their jpegs based on feedback from focus groups. That's why year after year we get an over exposed image with high saturation that is either over sharpened or way too smoothed.
