Shut down of tablet when Facebook is opened.

Hi all. I have a problem when I open facebook on my Samsung note 8.0 it restarts the tablet. Anyone who can help me or has had similar problems? It just started this about a week ago while I was in the UK connected to a new network.

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried going to the App Manager, selecting Facebook, and Clearing Cache/Data? Also, has FB been updated to the latest version?

Yes also uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no change

In that case, it's possible the latest Facebook app update is causing this problem. Report the problem to Facebook, and then wait for the next update to see if it gets fixed. In the meantime, you could use the mobile Facebook site on your browser, which works just about as well as the app (without the memory and battery hogging!).
