Sideloaded "Google Fi" OTA image, now no phone connection

I was in the beta program and was not getting the final release update, so I decided to sideload it. I noticed there were 2 different images, one of them says "Google Fi". Since this is my carrier, I thought I should use it. Now my SIM isn't recognized and the settings app crashes every time I click on Network & Internet. I tried sideloading the other image but it says it has an older timestamp so it's considered a "downgrade", which isn't allowed. Is there anything I can do short of wiping? I really don't want to go through that hassle even though I backed up everything beforehand.
