I realized it's blocked. Im past that.

But I saw something odd today. If you go into Settings > Accounts & Sync, and "add account", there is a definite option to add a Facebook account. Yet when you click it, nothing happens. Is this just the "blocking" that Google did on Gingerbread?

I saw this screenshot which makes it look possible...

The screen shot is probably someone using cyanogenmod in which case FB contacting syncing works fine. I'd post a screen shot because I have my FB synced to my phone but it looks just like the one you posted.

Now for those that are going to say "I dont have a FB option in my accounts and sync", you need to install the FB app first and need to set sync information in the app.

There needs to be a petition or open letter to Google and Facebook to let them know their BS posturing is doing nothing but hurting consumers in the long run. It's really quite ridiculous. I mean, I'm sure Google is already well aware of what Nexus users think about their facebook policy, but I think a little public lambasting (given enough support) could go a long way. Just like the reception issue, they'll start to care more once it shows up on various sites around the web.

I went ahead and deleted then Facebook app. It sucks. Lags. Misses things. Connection issues. And no sync.

The only thing I miss is creating new albums. As for pus notifications ill just get the emails. And the mobile site has some other features the app lacks.

Its just one big mess.

Thanks, that was my first guess. Just wanted to make sure...
