I can't get signed into android central forums in my computer in Chrome ever since using CCleaner. It says my password is wrong and i tried forget password 4 times but i get no email to reset the password. I just had this problem a week ago after running CCleaner. When i try to sign in using my email it says my username or password doesn't match. I'm using tapatalk on my phone to type this.
Now it says my username and password doesn't match an account.

Did you read that i said I'm using tapatalk on my phone?

Try clearing cookies from the Android Central site in Chrome's settings (or just clear your browsing data for the past week or so, including cookies).

I missed that , you try uninstalling CCleaner?

No. I just tried to reset my password two more times but the email never comes. Even after clearing the android central cookie from Chrome.

I would try that then reboot the device see if u can get back in , those cleaners do more harm then good .

I just updated Chrome and rebooted the computer then ran CCleaner before this. I've been using CCleaner since the 00's.

Have you tried what B. Diddy suggest? I use chrome and AC forum on mobile , I believe he uses desktop

I would try that then reboot the device see if u can get back in , those cleaners do more harm then good .

NEVER use those cleaners on a PC, or anything else you want to work right. I've seen them remove critical system files that required a complete OS wipe and reinstall to fix. You'll most likely have to uninstall and reinstall chrome to fix the problem...if you're lucky

Good article. Years ago I used CCleaner but nowadays I wouldn't use a programme like it.

I tried signing in with Edge and doing a password reset and still can't get signed in or a password reset email.

No idea about the CC Cleaner stuff, but @mesocyclone30, I can reset your password for you and it should work on desktop/tapatalk then. Just shoot me an email at chris.parsons @ futurenet.com.

I just tried to reset my password with chrome on android and it still didn't work. So we can't blame it on CCleaner because i don't use that on my phone.
Also see another thread about someone not getting the password reset email either
