Since latest update my GS3 randomly vibrates for no reason

My problem occurs when I use Kingston 32GB sd card.

My phone is set to vibrate mode.

I have set notification reminder 5mins (settings>my device>accessibility>notification reminder>reminder interval 5 mins) so whenever I have any uncleared notifications in the notifications panel, the phone will vibrate every 5mins until I clear the notifications.

Everything works fine when I did not have an external micro sd card inside the phone.

If I put in a external micro sd card (kingston 32GB) into the phone, the phone will vibrate every 5mins (or randomly, not sure) as if there is an unread notification, but there is no unread notification at all.

If I put in a external micro sd card (sandisk 16GB) it is also same. Some how the sandisk 16GB card has lesser vibrations

My solution is to remove the micro sd card. I am not sure if my phone is faulty. Try it and see if it works for you. My phone is Samsung S4.

Late response, but I just had this problem happen to me. I found theissue before it drove me insane.

In your accessibility settings, under the vision section, there is a notification reminder. The interval is defaulted at 5 mins and turning this off should solve the vibration problem.

Let me tell you what i did to resolve this problem. I had installed battery percentage software, i thought that is causing random vibrations but i factory reset my phone that worked fine but the moment my google play got automatically updated, it started again, so i went into manage applications, there were two updates, one was google play, and other was google play services, i deleted the one which used more space than the other, i think that was google play services, since then my phone vibration behaves normally like they should. Its been a few hours since that didnt happen. You can try that..

I found something that worked for me.

My problem was I had left my phone downstairs and was up on the 3rd floor which is ~ 10 meters away (bluetooth limit) from my watch. It was going in and out of standalone mode. When I brought my phone up near me ... no more random buzzing.

I discovered this when I switched watch faces. There's a standard Samsung watch face that is a blue digital with time, date, temp and steps. It also has a tiny (head of a pin) icon at the 12 o'clock position that displays when the phone goes into standalone mode. I often leave my phone downstairs and go to my office/den on the 3rd floor. It must be close to the bluetooth limit as the icon would turn on and off ... buzzing each instance. I usually have the chrono face on and it doesn't appear to display when you drop in or out of bluetooth.
