Skype available!!!

I could see my sister on her PC but no sound. She,however could see AND hear me. Any ideas?

People who are having problems should state whether they are rooted, and if they are using a custom ROM or not. I am running 100% stock and unrooted, Skype has been working perfectly for me.

Worked for me from mac to tbolt and pc to tbolt. Was using 3G. Super happy.

Worked from TBolt to iPhone 4, TBolt to iPhone 3GS, TBolt to PC. Overall, this is sweet. Oh, forgot to mention, all over WiFi.

Doesn't work from TBolt to Mac connections...Also tested it with a friend TBolt to TBolt. The software lags and switching cams is extremely slow and sometimes crashes. The delay in switching cameras is bad. And it seems that when you switch the phone orientation, it really screws up the software. I'll happily uninstall and wait for the official release.. This is not a polished product and probably a pre-release or a virus. LOL

Front facing quality was good and rear facing 8MP cam was crystal clear

The connection worked great from my bolt to my daughters MAC laptop. She had to upgrade her skype on the MAC to the latest version, I think she said 5.0 or something like that. After the upgrade, worked great. Audio was clear and picture was very clear and crisp. Really loving this app.

I don't think it makes a difference if the phone is rooted or not. Mine is rooted and I have one of the custom roms and Skype works just fine.

Battery pull, and still a rapid red led notification light while signed in. As soon as I sign out it goes away until I sign back in.

Can you explain how you did that? I went through but it did not recognize my wife, despite the fact that her Skype email is her second email on my address book.

I thought that this app would be intergrated into the address book/phone app not by linking contacts but by having an addtional field in the contact info for the contact's Skype ID name. This way it would be one button calling on Skype.

Wow, this is pretty cool! I wonder what's going on with the official release then? I haven't heard of any major bugs, so is it just a promotional issue or something with Skype and Verizon?

Anyways, can't wait to get my Thunderbolt and try this out.

Tbolt to tbolt a few rooms away. Problem seemed that the call initiator is the only one that could have speaker on. The other phone was coming from the earpiece and VERY low. Even if you set speaker to "on" on that phone it made no difference....

Initiated a call from that phone and it worked fine but then the other phone was screwed up. Not sure.

Ok. I took the plunge and dl'ed it and installed. Not bad but one problem, the receiving images on our Tbolt are upside down. D'oh!
(Stock Tbolt, no root).

Agree, not a big deal for me to run out to install. Since it's built we should have an OTA ready soon. Wasn't there suppose to be one in May rumored?

I downloaded, install and it works fine. Called my son who has an iPhone 4 and everything worked fine, video and audio.
