It's a loooonnnggg first boot.

It is long, but soooo worth it. This is by far the best Sense based ROM I've ever run. Extremely stable and very fast with well above average battery life (a hard combination to find).

I usually put mine down while it's doing it's first boot, grab a beer, and check back in like 15 minutes...if its still booting I know it's time for a nandroid restore.

I couldn't agree more! At this point in time, I would have to say this is my absolute favorite rom... It's going to take a lot to pull me away from this 1

Cool. I backed up CF last night and will try SR tomorrow.

Now is SR actually Sense 2.0, or only 2.0 widgets? I also see there is a SkyRaider_40_Release_p1.zip file. What is that for?

First time rooting my phone and loading a rom. I used Unrevoked3 to root. Downloaded Rom Manager, downloaded the SR4.0 zip file, put it on the sd card, used Rom Manager to install rom from sd card. Did a backup of all options in Rom Manager, wipe and reboot to install. Its been at the white Incredible screen for 25 minutes now. What do I do????

I find ROM manager can be a bit unreliable in the "wiping all data " catagory. I'd do a batt pull and reboot into recovery by holding down the volume down button as you power it up. Once in recovery do all you wipes manually and flash manually.

To be honest I'm not sure, I don't think it is completely sense 2.0 but it is a lot of it. All I know is it is a great blend of both roms and I really like it.

I'm not sure what the name of the zip is. I didn't use ROM Manger to download it, I just flashed the only file on my sd card that was called skyraider

If you can give me 1 hour, I will be happy to walk you through the steps manually. I'm not at my computer... im at work about to get off. But by then someone else will probably beat me to it

Found that i go into recovery. There are 2 options, wipe cache and wipe data/system restore. Do I do both? I see how to flash the rom. Thanks!!

It may have just been a fluke... I have been getting amazing battery life so far. generally it is the android OS or wallpapers that eat the most battery... I wouldn't worry to much about the wifi... glad to hear it is working better today

This is much better....20 hours of up time and battery still at 75%. This is a 3000 mah battery...

This is the first time you're flashing a rom yes you need to do both and you also need to wipe the dalvik cashe which is located under advanced settings. Then once you have done all 3 of those steps you go ahead and flash the zip. Also I hope you made a nandroid backup of your current rom before you did this

Im assuming you know how to make a nandroid and how to restore said nandroid. If not you need to read and learn how to do this first , there are lots of guides on how to do all this but ill cut to it and give you the readers digest version from memory.

Hold the volume down while you power the phone on. It should ask I'd you want to go to hboot, recovery etc...choose recovery. This should take you to a screen with black background and orange typeface. This is clockwork mod recovery. Use the volume buttons to scroll up and down and the track button to select and the power/ lock button as a "back" button.

So your in recovery, choose data/factory reset first and wipe it, this will erase the phone memory including apps and data but it will not do anything to the SD card, it will be safe dont worry. Then go to data cache and wipe it. Then go to advanced, then dalvic and wipe the dalvic. You have now wiped all three manually.

Use power button as the back button and go back to "install zip from SD", then choose zip from SD card find the zip and install. You have now just flashed the ROM. Wait patiently as the first boot is a long one...enjoy your new rom.

the name of the ZIP on my phone is called "SkyRaider_40_Release.zip"
