Slow dialer response

Anybody seen an issue with the stock HTC dialer (under the Phone button on the bottom center of the screen) with selecting a contact (which should then auto dial) taking up to a minute before it actually dials and locking up the whole dialer? It's becoming a huge headache as it happens quite often.

I have the latest OTA update, not rooted.

I have an HTC Desire HD, and the same slow dialing issue. Its been happening about 2 months now.

Has anybody got a solution for this one?

It has made my otherwise great phone almost useless as a telephone!

I just uninstalled "Total Recall" and it appears to not do the slow thing any more . . . ???

I've always had slow response from the dialer especially if I'm listening to music or I Heart Radio when the phone rings. If my phone rings and I press the button on my headset it usually takes 2 to 3 rings to respond by then the call has gone to voice mail. Most annoying.
