Sprint Galaxy S8 Snapchat "Content hidden" comes on during AOD, how do I make that stop?

None of my other messenger apps do this, just Snapchat. When the phone is on Always On Display and I get a message via Snapchat, I get this big white box on the screen that says "Contents Hidden".

I don't want that, I just want the little ghost icon to pop up... just like all the other apps do. No big white box that lights up my bedroom when I'm asleep! lol

Under "App Notifications" I have it set to:

Allow notifications
Show silently
On lock screen - Hide content

I've also noticed that if I have my phone in "Do Not Disturb" mode then it does what I want; no white box, just a little ghost icon.

So what setting do I need to change to get rid of this white "Content hidden" box?

Have you tried turning off "Hide content" on the lock screen? Given that you have to manually open a new snapchat message to see it, it's not as though any content will be shown if you select show content for the lock screen.

That's how the default setting was, Cowboy, but it gave the same white box and showed the name of the sender. Changing it to "Hide content" just changed it so that the name didn't show, but I still get the white box.

I also use the TextFree app, and just last night discovered that it does the same way so it's not just Snapchat. FB, kik, and regular SMS texts don't do that, though.
