So, is the Z Flip3 as interesting as you expected? ?

Samsung thought I was, because they sent me a "preorder now!" email! I won't get any foldable or flip phones now. Maybe in the future, when there has been more trial and error and more user experience to generate the industry's use of those new technologies. Still pretty cool to look at, though!

Give me a slider phone for the Note series and we are talking business.. lol.. check out this concept phone of the next note lol.... I do not want a phone screen with a noticeable fold down the middle of the screen.

Saw this video and will admit I would be pretty damn excited if it were to become reality. I am however very skeptical about the first edition of new technology rollouts. The fold has too many drawbacks for me to even think of it as a replacement for my Note 20U. Weirdly thin outside screen, bulky for pants pockets , noticeable fold on inside screen, no built-in S-pen, no SD card support and questionable battery life.

If Samsung can pull off this slide phone with a built-in S-pen and good battery capacity then I'm in. The Note used to be about the latest and greatest tech from Samsung until they started watering it down by giving the S line the same features and screen size etc. It would be great to see the Note line return to being the unique flagship it once was.

Yes, nothing at all against the ultra. But a flip smartphone is a new and interesting development. I passed on the Moto and first two Samsung flips because they were not quite ready for prime time IMO. The Flip 3 seems to be much improved and worth getting. Mainly because I don't need the S pen. Besides it would be nice to carry around such a small 6.7 inch device :)

I'm waiting for the Samsung flip 3 star track Edition. Gold mesh patterned front cover, Star Trek Communicator logo etched on the back cover in Black and modified it gives his Star Trek Communicator sound when you flip it open. Beam me one up Scotty.

That would actually be awesome.

yes, I so agree with you on the fold. I am skeptical myself on the roll out becoming reality. It would be D@mn sweet though and it would keep them ahead of the curve on new technology! lol... a wait and see. So far sticking with my Note 20 ultra 5g....

Getting one just for fun. Still have the Note10 Plus in pristine condition, the Note20 Ultra and an S20 Ultra if any real work needs to be done. If there'd have been a Note21 SuoerMegaUltra I'd have zeroed-in on that. Someday, maybe a Z Fold 5 will be brought into the 'fold'.

It's a really nice concept but its not a phone i would buy,
I think it's a little too much and the price does note really reflect the value.
But am sure someone will love it out there.

Thinking about it. AT&T offered me $1000 trade in for my Note 20u. Haven't really decided yet. Change is hard. I've used Notes for a long time even though I rarely use my spen. Only use it when people need to sign on my screen for square transactions really. What to do what to do....

You sound like an ideal candidate to upgrade. Unlike you I use my S-pen often and can't do without it. The flip is a definite conversation starter because it is such a unique phone but I prefer function over form.
