But the sales decline was due to the pandemic imo
But also because the S20 ultra was just not a good phone.

I had the S20 ultra, it was a fine phone. I don't expect my camera to be a professional grade camera, I expect it to work as a phone, text, email, quick pictures. I didn't buy it expecting the 100X zoom to work, I knew it would be a gimmick. I never had blurry pictures. .But also because the S20 ultra was just not a good phone.
When i think about "phone upgrade" i think about change a two to three even older phone for the newest model but.. i see here in this forum upgrading from the s20 to the s21 like no other priorities in life, whit all respect!!... a real change or upgrade should be for a actual difference on almost everything, no like my s20 have two cameras and i need three so i will UPGRADE and then criticize the new model ... maybe im getting old. (44 here btw)

He's just joining in on the discussion. I never took it as he was telling us what to do..I took it that in "his opinion" people upgrade for very little improvement of what they already have. Think about it, upgrading from a S8 to a S20U would be a huge difference, coming from a S20, not as much. His idea of upgrading is different then a lot on here. Sometimes it's good to see things like his post, at least for me it opens my eyes a little. With all respect, it isn't really your place to tell other people what their priorities should be. I came from a 2 year old phone, but it's not my business if people want to upgrade 3 times a year. What do you expect from a phone enthusiast forum?
It's an addiction.Over here in AC Land, quite a few of us will upgrade sooner rather than later. We all have our Achilles' Heels, you can say.![]()
And cheaper!I'm interested in the fold , but like it to be more durable
I think it will when it gets more traction and other manufacturers follow suit with folding phones, others are doing it, apple says they intend on doing it. For now, as flossy says, you have to pay to play and that is specially true with new technology. I bought mine off swappa 3 weeks after release for $1500, so I feel I did ok. Would like cheaper of course. And cheaper!
Yep, Swappa is where I would head if buying right now.I think it will when it gets more traction and other manufacturers follow suit with folding phones, others are doing it, apple says they intend on doing it. They were around $1,000 last I looked.Yep, Swappa is where I would head if buying right now.

Well said. Not everyone is jumping with joy on losing features. I never said the s21 was a bad phone, just no reason to move to it with the note 20 ultra or fold 2nin hand.
They had a brand new one sealed in the box for $1275 yesterday. Tempting but retired now so I have to be cautious on my purchases. They were around $1,000 last I looked.
All I remember was not being happy with the S20 Ultra and don't have the same feeling with S21 Ultra which has been amazing.
I could care less about what sold well or not, but for me personally S20 Ultra was disappointing and S21 Ultra Samsung nailed it from every angle.
Do you not realize these forums are opinions. Do what you want, it's not my job to tell you what to do.In your opinion there is no reason to move to it. I have had both of those phones and I switched...

I realize it very clearly.I realize these forums are opinion, just want to make sure you understand that as well. Moving on, what color is your Fold 2 and do you like it? The $1295 NIB is calling my name.
I realize it very clearly.
I got the black version. I love it, but I like my note 20U also. I've been very honest on these forums, I get chastised sometimes for it, but these phones are getting to big IMO. I use the note here and there and after using the fold 2 it becomes obvious that the screens are getting to big, I find myself having to change settings to make it comfortable to use and even then it's not that great. I make keyboards smaller, stuff like that. I am a one handed user so that's where the fold comes into play for me. Big screens really don't matter of you have to make things smaller to use.
The fold 2 has the smaller screen for one handed use. I can use the front screen one handed very comfortably. When I want the big screen I just open it up and have it. I love that fact. Main reason I was getting the note phones was the big screen. So far, no issues with the fold 2, it seems to be holding up well and durability is good. Of course it's new technology so it's not proven yet, but it seems to be good so far. I also think signal is better on the fold over the note and s20.
Sorry about the longer post, but wanted to give a little insight on to why I like it. If you are wanting the fold 2, $1,300 is a good price for new in box. I wouldn't think to long.
Also, watch the video I shared below. It impressed me at the durability question of the fold 2.
