So there was a second HTC-made Pixel 2...

What's to discuss?

The phone doesn't exist officially, so there's nothing to cheer or complain about.

The problem is then everyone will be up in harms about how it's having giant bezels in 2017 etc. They probably decided heck with it, let's go minimal bezels on one with LG design and the other HTC one with regular bezels.

I mean the rumors of there being three devices were around for months. I think the rumor mill said the third was dropped like 2 months before release. But the existence of the third was known about a long time ago...

What's your point? About being pissed off?

That battery sounds good, but if it looked anything like the smaller Pixel I wouldn't have been interested. I'm not a fan of bezels. In my opinion, they're ugly and unnecessary.

Minimal bezel is good, no bezel is evil.

LOL. So we would have had reviewers moaning about the so-2016 screen instead? There will always be something to whine about and we'll never know if the battery on that model explodes or the screen melts or whatever.

I wonder if HTC is using this scrapped pixel phone as the basis for their rumored u11 plus? The TENAA listing for it apparently shows the same 3830mah battery so I'd say it's pretty likely. The leaked photos of it certainly look a lot more like the 2 xl than the smaller pixel.

What's to be pissed about? They chose the far better design for the 2xl. If they'd gone with the scrapped design we'd be looking at a bigger version of the regular Pixel 2 which for me personally isn't nearly as attractive as LG's 2 xl

The supposed u11 plus that may have been the bigger pixel looks a lot closer to LG made xl. This is all speculation at this point though.

How many ways can you shape a large rectangle.... Lol

Lol i know right... Bezels have definitely been reduced on that HTC phone but i can't tell if it has ff speakers or not. The u11 was really well received so I'll be interested in the plus model if it pans out.

Probably recycled it and put in a different screen, similar to, but the reverse of, the original pixel.
