You guys should just admit that it isn't made as well as it could be. The scratches on the camera cover are a known issue.

A ton of devices sold, less than a thread or two worth of nitpickers talking about the glass. Not a widespread issue. Back of a phone looking like it was tossed down the interstate and now it's a cheaply made device. I'm laughing so hard right now.

Yeah. You don't get those type of abrasions from just 'normal' laying it on a counter or in your front pocket type of use.

Look at the abrasions on the bottom of the phone how deep and uniform and only that bottom part... it's being wedged against something and scratches under pressure. The ones on the lens, the scratches are pretty uniform and not in a up/down pattern like being put and taken out of pocket or slid in table but looks like pressed against something and grinding against in a circular motion.

Normal use, like laying it on a table... you'd have scratches along the whole back side.

If I had to guess... back pocket jean carry and pressure at the bottom part of pocket and either debris in the pocket or just sitting and grinding.

I have both and that cant be normal use. Unless by normal use you mean sliding it across tables and concrete. That phone has been abused.

I'm glad I got the Platinum version, a glossy back finish will show micro abrasions and scratches easier. I initially wanted​ the glossy black, but decided against it.

I am willing to bet your friend has a habit of tossing her phone into her purse...with her keys, make-up, and other items. Get a case and a tempered glass screen protector and she would not have any scratches.

It's not LG, it's carelessness.

Second of all, it's a pretty solid device.. There are materials harder than the glass on the back like granite... Don't slide it on granite or it can shatter

I got a feeling this "friend" of the OP works in retail and this picture of "her" phone is actually of a customer who dropped theirs and tried returning it or something along those lines. The lighting in the reflection looks to be from a phone store such as verizon etc. Probably someone coming in for a warranty exchange after dropping theirs down the street.

But hey if it makes the OP feel better about his choice to dump the G6, cool. Dont really understand his reasoning behind coming on here and posting his dislike for a phone he no longer owns though.

This is not true. Mine is just perfect after 3 weeks of use. Got ice platinum. Also I habitually put all my phones in a case along with screen protector. Don't wanna experiment with the beauty, whether or not it holds true to durability claims. This pic above looks like someone slide the phone on a hard surface. Better luck with it next time.....

The surface that I work on is (not concrete) but not smooth either. Glossy Black is and always is going to be a try at your own risk situation.
