Space around the search bar

Hi all,

I've recently noticed more empty space has been added below the search bar. I'm not talking about the new notification thing.

My icons were brought down and it's more noticable when having a 4 rows folder, the bottom text is cropped. I did a factory reset yesterday for various reason, it came back to normal. But, since then, I received the security patch and after reboot, the space was back.

Anyone noticed the additional space? How can we revert it?

Here you go. I actually started to get the new notification under it. It pushes the bar up. But I think they forgot to test full folders.

Yeah, I recall seeing that recently as well on my Nexus 5. I'd report it to Google and include a screenshot like that.
