Speaker getting hot

Yesterday my phone speaker broke. When I try to play something it makes weird noises, similar to those, which you get when your jack from something is not connected properly. When this sound plays for a longer time area around the speaker gets hot. I can add that I have Samsung Galaxy j7 2017

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Android & Tech Deals forum (I assume it was posted there by mistake) to the General Help forum.

If the speaker seemed to fail on its own, and if the phone is still under warranty, contact Samsung for warranty repair. If it was the result of accidental damage, then bring it to a repair shop and see if the speaker needs to be replaced.

Generally, No speaker, even if self powered should get too hot to touch.
You can try to turn it off, take it back. It seems silly to even say this but if it is that hot on the outside then you should get it checked.
