Splitting Music between SD card and phone?

I'm getting a Droid Incredible at the end of the month. Currently I have 12GBs of music in my iTunes that I'd like to move over to my Incredible once it arrives. I was under the impression that the Incredible comes with an 8GB SD card plus 8GB internal storage space for a total of 16GB. Is it possible to split my music between my SD card and the phone's internal space? Would this cause a slow down?

Also, what programs do people recommend for syncing my Incredible to my iTunes on a Mac? I'd like to just plug it in each time and have it update with new music, almost exactly as an iPod would.

Thanks.

I don't think you get a 8GB card when you get the Inc but i could be wrong. I would buy a 16GB card if I was you then just put all your music on your card.

I use double twist to sync my itunes :)

The droid incredible comes with a 2gb card. I believe you can add up to a 32gb card. With that much music I would invest in the highest gb card you can for the phone and store it all in one place.

Yeah I'll probably buy a 16GB card. It seems that stock storage space is the one area where the iPhone beats the Incredible.

Also, how do you like DoubleTwist? I heard it is extremely slow and unreliable. Any alternative options to sync the Incredible to iTunes?

Also, is it possible to sync music to my Android using DoubleTwist and the play the music in bTunes or MixZing? Or am I forced to play the synced music through DoubleTwist?

I just downloaded Doubletwist yesterday and like it. Its page kind of mirrors the Itunes page and its easy to bring all your music, pictures, movies etc. over to Doubletwist. It syncs up with the phone and puts it in its own folders and seems to work very well. I don't know about playing on the other music apps you mentioned but it does play on the stock music app so I am guessing it will work on others. Try syncing one of your songs then see what happens.
