I love buying my phones from Amazon, and now they have dropped the price of the Note 2 even further on Sprint. It's now $99 for a new customer, or $199 for an upgrade. Free 2 Day shipping (when it comes back in stock), and no tax.

Titanium Grey - $99
White - $99

I bought mine for $299, then they dropped the price to $249 and matched their own price for me. Now it's $199. I've had mine for over a month, so I doubt they'll stretch their price matching for me.

I would have done a phone upgrade at Amazon before since the pricing is usually one of the lowest out there but there is one big issue for me.
When you purchase a phone upgrade/renewal or get new service, it's required by Amazon that the device that you purchase stays on the account and on the line that it's purchased for for six months! If you sell the phone, cancel service, or move it to another line, they can hit you with a $200+ charge!
I hardly ever have the same phone on my line for six months. The Note 2 may be an exception but I don't know.
I will often trade out or sell and buy different phones via Craigslist.
Best Buy is price matching Amazon right now anyway. Best Buy has no equipment restrictions at all. You can buy from Best Buy anytime and move your equipment around as much as you would like with no penalty.
Wirefly also charges a $200+ fee if you move equipment around in the first six months.
Amazon and Wirefly's policies may have changed, I last checked into this about six months ago. I also could not find it on either website when I had checked so I called both Amazon and Wirefly to confirm that they both had this fee for moving equipment around. I would never had known but a friend had mentioned it to me when I was planning on getting a renewal back in May.

That's not exactly true. I've bought about 5 phones through Amazon over the last year, and the only requirement is that you keep the line that you have upgraded or started open for 6 months. You can move or sell the equipment all day long. I sold 3 GS2s least year from Amazon.

I see what you are saying, sure. I still wouldn't move equipment around and then possibly get hit with a charge.
Here's what the Amazon Wireless page says: AmazonWireless It seems like it would be OK per what the site says.
I called and asked them about it in May specifically and they told me that I could get charged a fee. It seems like it's really up to their discretion.

I would definitely buy my phone from amazon if they didn't have that clause in the contract. Their customer service is great but with cell phones I'll stick to bb unless they change their policy, plus I'd rather see my phone in person before buying it, plus it's easier to return or exchange if you have any problems.

Although the Note 2 doesn't show in stock, I wouldn't pay to much attention to it because I order one on the 17th and I got a EDD of 4 Feb. I decided to go with it anyway and I would cancel in a week or two. I got a email saying my Note 2 shipped on the 19th and will arrive on the 21st...so I will get my Xmas present after all. I live in Hawaii so I have to wait an extra day...that's the price you pay for living in paradise.

Are you saying amazon matched their own price? I thought they didn't do 30 day price guarantee anymore
