Re: Sprint LG G3 Lollipop Update : Discussion, Bugs, Tips & Complaints

Also do we have pop up notifications?

I having issues with my lock screen. It's not showing a list of the notifications I received. It shoes the first two and the rest I can't see. I tried to swipe down bit that's not working.

Just an observation, maybe it's just me, but aren't the home buttons out of proportion (too big). Is there a way to scale them down without being rooted?
Yeah they are a bit large. Only way I know those can be altered is with rooting and changing the png's (images/icons).

Nope I think that is all we get. I know many have been disappointed with the changes to the lockscreen on Lollipop in general.

Still waiting...
According to the update rollout schedule that was said to be released in a Sprint chat someone had posted over at Reddit, tomorrow you should be able to request (manually check for update via Settings) and get the update if you don't get it by then.

I forced the update via the method mentioned earlier and my phone is running great...

Just got the OTA a few minutes after midnight in St. Louis. So far seems more responsive. I'll post any new info or discovered issues.

Got it! I can't seem to find the 'trusted places' feature. Did Sprint exclude that? Or does it not show up when using Knock code (which is what I'm using)?

I knew that rollout schedule seemed too short to be true. No update for me yet. I honestly didn't expect to get it within a week. For every phone I've ever had, I've always seemed to be in the last 25% or so to receive the OTA.

just received my update, phone works great. did NOT do a factory restore/reset. so far, so good. Sprint app says there is a device software update though. Is that a separate new update or has the app just not figured out I got the Lollipop update?

There is a few other Sprint & LG related apps that will be updated.

it says LRX21Y, is device software update. its under the sprint app. only other app that updated was LG voice mate.

EDIT: the sprint app just hasn't recognized the phone is updated.

Does anyone know where the battery saver options are hidden? Before the update, I could choose the brightness setting when Battery Saver is turned on, but now I can't find that option anywhere.
Thanks

It appears that you only have options now w/ Battery Saver to control when it kicks on. Immediately, 5% or 15% battery level(s). I can't locate anything else regarding the Battery Saver.

I'm actually having more issues now I was able to find trusted devices however I'm still being asked a pin when I open my phone. I thought it was because I also had the face option on as well bit that's not the case I turned that off and it's still not working correctly.

Another issue or problem I'm having is with the silent or in lollipops case do not disturb mode. I want to silence and just get notifications on phone but do not disturb doesn't notify you of anything. Priority mode defaults to vibrate. I dont want it to vibrate either. Lol anyone else having same issues?

Please help...how do I take a screenshot now? Swiping up and to the right (or any direction) from the home buttons only opens Google Now.

Also, how do I access the much-talked-about "trusted places/faces" feature that was supposed to come with Lollipop?

Thank you.
