Sprint LG G3 Lollipop Update : Discussion, Bugs, Tips & Complaints

Please help...how do I take a screenshot now? Swiping up and to the right (or any direction) from the home buttons only opens Google Now.

I don't have it yet...but I assume it's still the Power/Volume Down button combo like the KitKat version. The swiping up feature is for QuickMemo, I believe...and that's not the same as a straight screenshot.

Currently it appears that the only way to take a screen shot is hold Power & Volume Down at the same time. Looks like something changed and they removed the feature to Swipe up to Google Now or Right to QuickMemo/Screen Shot.

Trusted places/agents is found below.

First go to Settings/Lock Screen and Select screen lock pin, password, swipe or knock knock code in place.

Next you will see Settings/Lock Screen/Smart Lock, click on it and enter your code.

That will bring you finally to Trust places/devices/faces.

And the power and volume down does work, just press and hold both together with one finger. Just grabbed those screenshots above doing so.

Quick digression....why do so many people use that Walt Disney-ish child-scrawl font? It's almost as bad as Comic Sans!

I'm actually having more issues now I was able to find trusted devices however I'm still being asked a pin when I open my phone. I thought it was because I also had the face option on as well bit that's not the case I turned that off and it's still not working correctly.

Another issue or problem I'm having is with the silent or in lollipops case do not disturb mode. I want to silence and just get notifications on phone but do not disturb doesn't notify you of anything. Priority mode defaults to vibrate. I dont want it to vibrate either. Lol anyone else having same issues?
I'm experiencing the same thing and would like to know how to fix it

haha.. I agree but to be completely honest I was so bored with the standard font I just changed it up for a different look.

It appears that you only have options now w/ Battery Saver to control when it kicks on. Immediately, 5% or 15% battery level(s). I can't locate anything else regarding the Battery Saver.

Wow, I guess we lost a ton of control over battery saver. Thanks for the reply.

Here's a rollout schedule ... this is from someone on reddit, not me, so you can choose to believe it or not.

Well, unless they're counting through midnight tonight, I think it's clear this schedule is not accurate. No update for me yet. I'm not going to actively try to download it...I'll just wait however long it takes for them to send it to me. Way I figure it, I'll be the very last guy to get it...as usual. :(

Have you gone into Settings/System Updates/Update LG software?

That schedule indicated on Monday it should be manually obtained this way.. Unless something changed or that roll out was false to some extent.

Can't you just add the "Sound profile" toggle to your quick settings and cycle to 'vibrate'? That's what I've always done on mine.
As Phil Nickinson indicated in his overview of the new notifications management in Lollipop its still kinda a mess... It works for some folks and not so great for others depending on what your actually trying to achieve. This is even worse when trying to make it all gel with a smartwatch too...

I did...I tried both LG Software and firmware update checks.
I'm still skeptical of that schedule since it seems a lot shorter than previous OTAs I've seen. Wasn't the most recent G3 update over the course of two or three weeks? And that was only for a fairly minor update.

Yeah something like that. I'm not one to wait patiently. And given the fact this update has been running pretty darn good I'm glad I forced the update :P

Yeah as far as the sound profiles I was able to put it on vibrate and it's fine but I want to silent. I want to just get notifications on my watch and then when I leave work turn it back on. I was able to follow someone's suggestion and change vibrate strength to zero and now it's silent. My phone doesn't make noise on desk and i still get notified on watch.

You can take a screen shot by adding the quick memo icon to your home touch buttons, and saving it to your gallery.

It's a three-way toggle: Sound, Vibrate, Silent...or at least on the pre-lollipop update version it is.

Yeah after the update its vibrate do not disturb and sound. A lot of people are saying it might get switched back after another update.

Had to do a factory reset, and its showing up now. Thank you.

the best I get is waiting to download after clearing data on the Google Play Services. Any suggestions on how to get the download going?

Nevermind it is downloading now.
