Pre ordering has nothing to do with getting it early. It means not having to risk not having enough stock when it releases, which is the 19th. Even if received after the 19th, it's still a valid preorder because the concept of pre ordering is to reserve an item, not to receive it prior to release.

Dude for the two people on here preaching about the pre orders lmao we all know it doesn't guarantee us a phone early but a pre order absolutely does guarantee us a phone on or before release date at the latest as thats the point of a pre order so no need to preach to us as if we're ignorant because all of us know that we're not guaranteed to receive the phones early okay only that our pre order guarantees us delivery on the release date of August 19th and nobody on here is complaining about potentially not getting the phones early but only that we get them on or before the 19th

If ppl are seeing notice changes then that's a good sign. From reading this board, it seems like the two colors that's getting movement first are the Black and the Silver, I guess the more popular colors, hence them having more of. So they are trying to knock them out the way first.
Those of us that ordered the blue (I ordered 2) mostly will see some movement later today. So this should be a sigh of relief for many. I'm on midnights this week so I have nothing better to do at work (besides work...lol) is to look at forums and check my status updates lol. Just ordered some cheap cases off Amazon for $7 (with a promo code) till they start making more so we can go in the store and actually "feel" them.
Hope everyone calms down and enjoy life....don't stroke out over a phone or a release date!
I will say this....take a screen shot of your initial notification on sprint /myorder. Mines said shipped BY the 17th. If I get it by the 19th, I'm good. If it doesn't SHIP by the 17th and I get it AFTER 19th, I'm thinking I have a good chance at a little cash back/something off my next months bill. Their wording, not mines. Use it to your advantage.

Yeah i was just on the phone and like with the Iphone they go by order time and also by the color they got most of. But mine is still pending. But if by chance it does not ship i can go to best buy on Friday morning and get 1 if they have them in stock ive done it before and then refuse the one that comes late if that happens
Well that sucks.....for me .. not you. I Preordered the black onyx version on the 8th and my status is still the same. So they are definitely NOT doing them in the order they were received...
Ordered the coral blue and no status update. Trying my best to be patient. I remember pre-ordering the Galaxy S3 and being this excited for it haha.

lolI ordered on the 3rd the Blue so it better ship today. And again like some have said i am not wanting it early i want it on release day! A pre order that states will ship by the 17th should ship that way. And those who pre order should get them no later then release day if they ordered right away the day of pre order.
We are not having a fit over not having them maybe tomorrow but i want to see my Blue coral say shipped like everyone else when i ordered on the 3rd...

It's not a shipping #, but it's better than no change.
Lol I gave myself some hope too haha so based on that new status update I received all of us who pre ordered prior to the 16th 3pm central time will have our phones shipped out sometime before the end of the day today which I believe is virually almost all of us accept maybe one person I think said they just ordered yesterday so yea it looks promising guys I am definitely excited now

I received that same update on 8/3 when I ordered both of mines. Man....they need a new IT crew....lol
Oh gosh dude lol all the hope we just had went down the drain haha if you said you received that same update back on the 3rd honestly it's possible you're mistaken because the original status update also told us the phone's would ship by the 17th but this new status update was more specific and mentioned all of us who ordered prior to the 16th at 3pm will have our phones shipped today the 17th so HONESTLY EITHER YOU'RE TROLLING ALL OF US OR YOU'RE JUST MISTAKEN because if you read the new status update its clear this status update was created today since its speaking of the 16th in a sense that date has already came to pass as if that newer status update was clearly just generated this afternoon SO YEA NO WORRIES I AM 100% confident you're either TROLLING us and or you've simply misread the initial status updates because WERE ALL GETTING OUR PHONES SHIPPED OUT TODAY IF WE ORDERED PRIOR TO 3PM CENTRAL ON AUGUST 16TH N THATS JUST THE WAY IT IS !!!!!!!!!!!! Here is my opinion on how it's working as far as who is shipping first. I SAW SOMEONE WITH SHIPPING INFO TRACKING CONFIRMATION WHO ORDERED AUGUST 11TH while some who ordered on the 3rd haven't received shipping confirmation of tracking information yet SO WHAT IM THINKING IS SINCE THE WAREHOUSE IS APPARENTLY LOCATED IN LOUISVILLE KY I think those who live farthest away will be shipped first as to ensure they get their phones on the 19th and those who live closer such as myself who live just about 1 hour 45 minutes from LOUISVILLE will be shipped later in the day this afternoon into early evening since our shipping time will be shorter the closer we are to the warehouse although it's just a theory of mine I do believe that makes sense
