Sprint Samsung Epic 4g Official Froyo EC05 [update.zip method/Custom Odin Packages]

Is it just me or has the phone on stock been acting like crap for a few days surrounding the announcement and release date

Yes!! my phone has been lagging like crazy since yesterday, I believe its due to the OTA's I just want my update so my phone goes back to normal :-\

Never doubted him just pointing out how weird it was confirm the update in your very first post lol

I have "Screenshot It" the dev said some phones require root and some don't. It works great on my NON rooted epic.

How is tapatalk. Is it worth downloading. Tried it for a little. Didn't like nor did I give it a fair chance

Seems both shootme and screenshot it require rooting for me. I think that functionality will open up in Gingerbread for those who don't root.

It doesn't replace the computer but if you post from your phone it is a lot better than using your phones browser.

That one wont work either, not sure why. Promt says phone is not rooted, wont let me proceed any further. I know when I first got the phone I was able to take one with a program, not sure which one it was and I have since deleted it.

What about phones that are not on sprint or even in a USA carrier? Are these OTA updates done over the internet? Or inside the sprint network? Because if it's only for sprint phones then I am going to need the manual update so I can flash it and by what I've been reading here, that doesnt seem to be happening ever.

bonzai has the closest thing to it, a full, untouched version of ec05 but they had to build it so you need to be on clockwork to do it and I wanted to be completly stock without clockwork and EXT on EC05 but the bonzai thing may be the one to go with.

I was wondering about this. The last froyo update was available on the Samsung website hours before the OTA. I am wondering if the reason Samsung isn't posting EC05 is because it has Sprint ID. I am guessing this is a sprint update and not a Samsung update.

Just did a firmware check. It took five minutes and never responded. I hit cancel and now it says "session in progress." I'm running EB13. Any thoughts?
