Update firmware.

But according to sprint it doesn't do any good as hitting those buttons only polls for updates already downloaded to your phone. They also say that GOTA (Google Over The Air) is the one repsonsible for this update and that's why it's rolling out slow and not pushed to mass markets. They also claim that your (our) phone only polls GOTA servers once a week.

Woke up this morning to a message that an update was available. Ran through fine.

I also received it this morning when I woke up in Charlotte, NC.

What...the...heck!! I'm in Charlotte too and no update on my phone. I selected 'Update Firmware' and it says 'No Firmware update is available"

Nothing here yet either... Currently in Mississippi.. Been on roam but have a great wifi signal.. Guess the update is just pushing out slow...

I've had pretty good service at my office (3-5 bars). I just updated and I'm at zero bars and roaming even outside of the building. Tried updating profile, PRL and still the same. My wireless signal is gone too.

I'm confused; I didn't get anything on my phone saying anything about an update is complete, available, etc.?? How and what do I check to see that my unit has been updated as well?

You will know when you get it. It will pop up on your screen and tell you that an update is available.

had the same problem previously. Download gps test from the market to clear agps and update agps. Also, update profile and prl as that will reset the radios. Mine worked after doing this. I noticed that gps indoors is very weak (also in a moving train), while outdoors it locks instantly. (no update for me so can't confirm if its better or worse)

I got the update wednesday evening in Chicago. Swype seems to work a bit better, and the single-letter issue is fixed at last.
