Sprint/Samsung releases 'los' fix?

Nothing in SE Michgan. I am coming fdom HTC EVO and I used to get updates over the air. Now on Samsung should I go to Kies or should I wait for a popup ?

The battery pull actually worked for me. Left battery out for about 15 minutes while i swapped trailers, and got back in the truck to check and was like, damn, that actually worked.

Received update this morning when I turned off airplane mode and pulled it off the charger. Greatest phone ever, this update better not screw it up.

Because some of you seem to think location actually matters, I live in Nebraska. I'm in the third house on the left.

Got the update yesterday live about 50 south of Boston on the RI line. Update went flawless just don't get nervous it hangs on the 4G screen for about 2 minutes and you want to press something it appears frozen but it will continue. It fixed every issue, I had LOS about 5 time a day and 0 since the update 29 hours ago. All test were done from my desk the exact same location was used for all comparisons. The signal bar went from 2 to full which is what my Optimus shows, my house is 92' long and the router is at one end at about 40' I would loose the connection and now I have full signal at 92', even pick up my neighbours signals now like the LG did. The 3G speed went from a max. of .34 meg to 2.9 meg. I uses the same sprint network speed test and select Atlanta. 4G went from 2.45 meg. to 11.3 that is amazing. The GPS locks in 3 or 4 seconds now where it took up to a minute in the past. I recommend this update. The other changes are the page indicator circles no longer have a number no big deal, the media hub and sprint zone icons changed. When you get to the end of a scroll you get a blue glow instead of a bounce. I liked the bounce but again no big deal.

Got my notification yesterday, so seems like they're still rolling it out. Update went very smoothly ... a couple of UI tweaks that have been noted in other places, but otherwise not many noticeable differences. Hopefully the LOS issue is a thing of the past.

Need some input. Running 2 epics that we got @ the end of October, one has been stock, no mods or root, (the misses) the other my device was rooted, kerneled, themed, U name it I tryed it anyway all I got out of rooting was EXTREME LOS , especially if batt dropped to about 50 pct. Other phone has not had not one LOS episode , so I unrooted with squshy 7 EG31Tar and rid my phone of LOS episodes for good, if you want to experience LOS just root, presto LOS no problem, anyway I noticed that both phones had a notification this morning for new android update this morn. so selected and click install on both, stock phone (misses) update installed noprob it showed the little android next to a box, progress bar and in no time the update was done, noticed blue over scroll in settings list when scrolling AOK, on my device I got the android next to a triangle w/exclamation mark inside, just sat there for long time, tapped power button and it went to And. sys. recovery there I selected reboot and phone restarted up but no update installed. Still on EG31 from squshi7, kernel EG30-CL435803, Android Ver. 2.3.4 and no sign of changes with new update. I guess update could not recognize EG31 unroot kernel ? This is where I need input, anyone come across this "no update" scenario because of the EG31 unroot mod. What now? :(

Yeah your previously rooted phone cannot install the update because of your EG31 system. The EK02 update is a delta of the EG30 system, and won't work with EG31.

Thankfully, a full EG30 system magically leaked not long ago that you can use to factory restore to the original system that shipped with the phones. Here's the link with downloads and install info. Yeah you're going to have to fire up Odin again.
