Sprint SGT software update

Has anyone who has the Sprint Tab rooted been able to sucessfully update ur tab? Every other day I get the msg to update and when I try it goes like it is actually installing but nothing changes. I want to update or at least stop getting the automatic updates to install this software, any suggestions?

I have a rooted Sprint GT and it receives OTA updates just fine. I am on EB28.

Search for the Sprint factory udpate program and flash your GT with that. Once that is complete you should be able to receive normal updates.

due a nandroid, download and flash ea24 via heimdale, update, then restore just your data, or start from scratch

Thx guys, but what is "hemidale" and where do I find it??

hemidale is an application to Flash your Rom with since our Sprint Tabs dont play well with Samsung Kies.

I have searched for the EB28 system update and is unable to find it anywhere...Would some pls send it or post the file?

What are u talking about EB28? Im on DJ30. It took forever, my tab wouldnt update. Today I looked in the cache, which is where the updates are stored, and there were three update files, and it finally worked.

I found the eb28 update in my cache, extracted to root of sd folder, however when I reboot in recovery, it fails because ig is looking for a file name "update. Zip". Do I have to rename the file on my sd to "update. zip"? Where did u find dj30 update?

It was just under about device I noticed it as.DJ30. Since you extracted it, rename it to update.zip, boot into recovery, then hit reinstall packages. Although I already tried that and it didnt work for me. I just noticed one day it finally worked when it said update available. Hope it works for you though.
