Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread

That link sends me to a weird place.
I won't be surprised if there is no Tri-Band Moto X upon release.
Google and Motorola most likely want to reduce any carrier differences to keep costs down.
Just my $.02

I know Samsung is on for one Tri-Band phone and I am hoping it is a GS4.
Time will tell.

Mav.

The Moto X was in the Pipeline before Tri-band chips were available..... Right now from what I know on the inside its the G2, S4 and Note 3 to kick things off....Tri-band wont be full steam until the Christmas time phones start releasing Oct to Dec....No word on Iphone 5S but I wouldnt doubt it at this point it.

The midrange LTE specifically for Boost and Virgin may also remain 1900 only for a while......

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread

Lenny I can understand your anger sometimes but it seems he can't ever say anything bad without you flipping your lid. You stick up for them but even you say you're on Verizon.

If you loved them that much.. You'd be on Sprint not Verizon. Sure go ahead and say you're on Verizon because Sprint is bad right now...... But that's what he is saying! The same thing! They ARE bad right now.. He isn't saying for life and forever... You take it as if he is though. You can't stick up for them so hard core when even yourself isn't on them because they are bad right now.....

I am like you in a way... I want Sprint to do good... But I'm sorry they aren't good right now. Places I got LTE in Jacksonville? Great!.... Other than that... 0.3Mbit average down... Sorry.. Not good enough. Music buffered and stuff.. Annoying. So I swapped to tmobile and love having data again.. If Sprint fixes their act in the future I'll possibly switch back.. Just like you..

So try not to bash people so hard when you're not even on them since you know how it is... NOW... Not how they will be in the future.

Im sorry but his ATT cheerleading is annoying as F***, as if ATT never had the same exact problems that Sprint has now.....

Dude hijacks every thread with the "My Life is so much better on ATT i feel sorry for you SAPS on Sprint" rhetoric....its Trolling

Agreed it can get annoying.. Hence why I try and only post constructively but I will admit going to Tmobile is awesome. With discount bill dropped $20 a month before taxes and I have data I can use.

But at the same time you yourself isn't even on Sprint due to the issues. They have the issues right now so they get the bashing... Same as AT&T back in the day. Once they fix their network it will be all good... Just at the moment it is slacking hard and they need to step up to their A-game.

Lenny yet again I will address this for one last time. I'm not cheer leading nor am I trolling. I'm simply giving out an opinion that seems to differ from yours and reasons why. Does this mean you have to agree with me? Well no and I expect that.
Let me try this approach here....Your wireless carrier is a lot like a wife, girlfriend or whatever. And by that I mean we all have different needs and likes. This can be in both the looks, personality and even where they are going in life. So what you may like might be different that what I would like. So at the end of the day its that persons choice.
I'd also like to point out that I have given a lot of fed back about Sprint because I was a customer of theirs for just over 9 years. 2 years ago I got sick of their service and issues and I left. Why? Coverage was terrible and CS was go awful. Does this mean your experience will be the exact same? Of course not. So the whole "troll" card to me is nothing more than a crutch because I do not agree with you. I have never been rude toward you nor have I ever called you out on an opinion. Now I have said that I may not agree with you but I have done so in a polite and professional manner. So I don't think its to much to ask the same from you. If you feel that I have attack you I have not. Or if you feel that I have indeed personally attack you in any manner please let me know.
We also have private messages here. So I invite you to have a private conversation with me if you wish. Please keep it polite and we may further discuss this if you want. As I'm sure others could careless if you agree with me or disagree with me. But know I will remain addressing Sprint, att, Verizon and even Tmo threads as I always have. Politely and according to the forums rules.

Alme! I know you and I have become forum friends over the past few months. I also invite you to do the same if you think I have ever been rude to you in anyway. Outside of not sharing the same opinion. I try and only give feed back that is helpful. It could be my own experiences with a carrier or simply comparing the 2 as I have been a customer of both networks within the 5 years. (I also remind people that its MY experience and yes it can change depending on location, network towers and so on.)

So lets get back on subject and stay on subject. But understand each person in this forum might be and think differently then your self.

Let's carry this analogy on. You and your wife didn't get along, so you got a divorce. Why do you have to constantly be going on and on to your wife's friends about how wonderful your new wife is? Go enjoy your new wife and your new wife's friends.

Maybe the saying was not clear enough. I have said nothing but facts. This does not mean you have to take my word for it its my experience on the Sprint network. Lenny acts as is I have personally attacked him. When in fact its the opposite. Nor have I even brought up the fact hes not a Sprint customer either. If you cant take someones opinion that differs from yours them I cant see my self as the problem here. It would be one thing if I attacked anyone when I have clearly not done so. Have you not done a search on the forums and found a fix on another forum? 90% of the information on here is universal. But carrier threads are people asking for opinions and experience. Again if you can not tell the difference then I don't see my self as the problem. Your argument would make sense in a real world wife/girlfriend breakup I guess but I was using more of a "We all have our choices and likes about our partner in life". I hope this clears it up for you.

I don't think I will ever see a Sprint/Tri-Band version of the iPhone. Apple would never do that, which is fine with me. (Not that you asked)
I keep forgetting about the Note 3 also coming soon, but a Tri-Band setup would make sense for all involved.
Late in the year is the most likely time for the Tri-Band phones to be out and about which will give Sprint some time to got those frequencies online in as many places as they can.
My hope and plan is to grab a Tri-Band Galaxy S4 with my Dec 1st upgrade. A 16GB version is fine with me. :)

Whatever occurs, it will be in the 4th Quarter which starts in September, so the waiting continues.
As I said, my upgrade is on Dec 1st so I have no choice. ;)

FAIL - September is not in 4th quarter  Although I'm not really sure why i needed to point this out.

Ya who knows what CRAPPLE is doing. They have at least 5 variations of the iPhone 5 globally... It really can't be pennies on the dollar to include ALL the radios needed. They do have hoards of cash to work with if they must..:-$ Or just raise the price of the device to compensate, the sheep will follow.

You are correct.
Must be my Georgia high school "education" that strikes at will.
Of course we all know that the 4th Quarter is what makes a Dollar. ;)

- 2.5GHz to fill out Sprint's network

- All phones beginning of next year will be 2.5GHz capable.

Brett Feldman - Deutsche Bank said:
Just a one quick follow up. You mentioned all of the devices that you'll be -- in your lineup that you?ll be getting next year will include 2.5. Can you confirm that that includes the iPhone?

Steve Elfman said:
I'll start with the first question. We can't confirm anything on the iPhone at this time or anytime. So take my comments to all the other devices this point in time and we?ll wait to see what Apple does in the future.

So it's 'Top Secret' via Sprint's contract agreement with Apple. :P Softbank and China Mobile also have 2.5GHz TD-LTE.

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread

In retrospect, that makes sense.
There would be no reason that Sprint would sell any upcoming and future phones that would not work on all 3 bands.

I still want a Tri-Band Galaxy S4 that is (hopefully) coming out later this year.

As Tom Petty said, "The waiting is the hardest part."

This is interesting:
Samsung

Beamed from my Galaxy Nexus
Samsung has become a significant partner of Sprint, in addition they are a vendor in Sprint's 'Network Vision' project.

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread

I would take a guess and say, anything coming out on Sprint during the 4th quarter and beyond will be Tri band phones with some being world phones like the G2 in which Sprint does have international roaming agreements already in place for LTE-A. It seems the 2500/2600 band is set up in a lot of places for it already such as Asia/Pac, South and Central America.

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread

I concur.
The Note 3 is likely to be announced in Berlin the first week of September so the thinking is that will be one of the first of Samsung's offerings in Tri-Band form.
This along with the new LG, and hopefully a redone GS4, will be a nice first round of options.
Time will tell.

I agree and hope it is so, the size of the device allows room for any needed additional hardware. Let's also cross our fingers for best 'Tri-Band' LTE antenna performance. :) According to S4GRU, one of the current Sprint Tri-Band LTE MiFi devices has performed very well on 2.5GHz LTE in Denver, CO. and hand-off between 1900MHz was fine.

With any luck Tri-Band LTE phones will also be as flexible as the MiFi devices in network priority settings.

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread

Well, the LG G2 has been announced.
This is supposed to be a Tri-Band phone for Sprint, but no notes of this yet.
They are probably gonna wait for a couple of months before the term "Tri-Band" is used to give them time to get as much of the infrastructure in place.
