Sprint Update 1.80.651.6

Noticed this morning that there is an update for the HTC 10, Sprint knows nothing of it from twitter and sent me the following link (https://support.sprint.com/support/...0 Update |All&question_box=HTC 10 Update |All), I tweed back detailing my software number from my phone. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CrM1cqyVIAAtD7F.jpg:large

Yeah I got it too but it just said that it was security updates.

They may for unlocked versions but this is first update since June. Sprint did update their website with the corrected information.

I just installed it. I have a Sprint phone (not unlocked). Took a long time.

Updated on sprint. Was pretty quick and easy, other than the optimizing apps part.

What's up everyone!!
I ran the update today while at work and when I got home and tried to pair my 10 to my Lugulake speaker that I use almost every day, it failed and won't connect. Rebooted, all the usual steps , unpaired etc but no luck. Strange that it paired to my car as soon as I started it up, no issue. . Tried pairing speaker to my other phones and they all connected right away. Very odd. Otherwise the update seems fine. Just putting it out there in case anyone else runs into a similar issue and has a suggestions. Thanks everyone! Cheers!

Yeah I got it too but it just said that it was security updates.

It's pretty big for a security update, nearly 350MB.

I installed the update Wednesday night and shortly after I started having issues with the capacitive button lights.
They just started to dim and they stay that way for a while, then go back to normal brightness and then goes dim again.
Not sure if its the update thats causing this issue. Phone is 1 week old.

Me too. It took so long I started to think that the process had froze.

hi Michael. Glad to know (but also sorry) that I'm not the only one experiencing issues with this update. I'm also on Sprint btw. Now I have a very hard time pairing my bluetooth wireless headsets and the bluetooth will turn off spontaneously. Today, I also discovered that the phone will no longer capture any audio, rendering basic things like Google Now voice commands useless! Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I love the phone and had NO issues prior to this.:'(

Add me to the people with Bluetooth problems. After this update, it suddenly won't connect at all to my sound bar which it had done perfectly before. What the hell did they do?

BT issues as well. My Jaybird X2 doesn't connect anymore and re-pairing doesn't work. My Android Wear seems to be fine, though (LG Watch Urbane).

It's really weird since its connecting to my car with no problems.

Definitely see a trend on the bluetooth side. Anyone else's HTC 10 unable to capture audio after the update? I can't even video with sound. When I play back, it is as if the phone was muted. It's NOT! Arggh!!!

Update: So the audio issue seems to be resolved. Apparently, almost every app (including HTC Speak which controls audio capture) had its permissions wiped/reset so I've had to manually set them for each app. Tedious, and never had that happen after any HTC update (and I've had the EVO, 3D, M7 and now the 10) so this was a very unwelcome first. I'll keep checking on bluetooth. Yesterday gave me issues, again, but took slightly less time to resolve. Let's hope the trend continues...

Yep, Bluetooth in car is good..

No good for other speakers.
