My daughters phone has been updated but we're not in a spark area. No ill affects at all but no added affects either

Just based on my before and after tests, I'd have to say the update worked flawlessly. There are some areas where Ican get 55mbs down and aalmost 10 up.

Does anyone know why my phone and my sister's phone would be saying up to date when we do not have the spark update yet? My dad got the update, we have not.

No update yet. Just got the phone last Friday, Feb 14, so maybe that's why. I'm in the Austin TX area.

Still no update... Running version ZV8. I had to replace the phone for battery issues, my first one got the update immediately, this phone still has yet to get it. Just says "system is up to date" every time I check.

It's not based on location. My wife got hers 3 days before I got mine. Not sure what it's based on, but location would be the worst attribute to use to choose for roll out conditions.

I live in Jacksonville Fl and work in parts of town with spotty LTE service. Spark is not even started deployment here.
Last week I got the Spark update which appears to be working alright. I have also updated the PRL.

What I am noticing is that the phone does more searching to try and re aquire the LTE signal than it used to. When I am in weak LTE area it just keep searching and uses up lots of battery.
I have to switch to CDMA only in these areas to conseve my battery.
Anyone else experiencing that? Anyone know a how to keep the phone from looking for the other nonexistent LTE Bands.

Finally was offered the update. Downloading now.

Edit: Update installed with no issues. I also updated the PRL and profile, and restarted the phone. SpeedTest doesn't show much of a change; 2.4Mbps down, and 2.6Mbps up. At least it's pretty consistent now; used to vary all over the place.

I have good strength, and the spinning icon. All bands are enabled, priorities are band 25=1, band 26=2, band 41=3.

Had the update for a few weeks and I'm pretty disappointed. Unless I am in a Spark coverage area the phone will not connect to LTE at all. The LTE at my house was always on the weaker side but still worked just fine and in a rather large town south of me I always got full LTE everywhere now I get zip for LTE and I also lose the 3G signal rather regularly for 30-60 seconds and then it comes back. The battery is also draining like crazy, likely because it's consistently checking for LTE or trying to connect to LTE. Oddly enough if I turn airplane mode on/off then the LTE icon pops up with no signal for up to minute, like it sees the signal but can't connect or deems it to weak, then just defaults to 3G.

I'll likely give it until KitKat comes out to see if any tweaks to the radio are done but if not then the phone is going adios, sadly.
