Try doing a full rescan of the music library.
That worked! Thanks! /Mikael

Looks interesting. Can you tell me the steps of how to install this app? Is this app free or paid?
Blame Google. A couple weeks ago they sent an email saying that Squeeze Ctrl does not launch in Android Auto and they will automatically remove Android Auto support from it. I sent an appeal to them explaining that you need to have a server to connect to for Squeeze Ctrl to work. I guess they didn't listen and removed the support.Used this app for a very long time, it is great, thanks!
I didn't notice at what point, I think a few days ago Squeeze Control disappeared from Android Auto. Is this a problem with me or the app no longer supports Android Auto?
This is a very important feature for me ...

I'll try to resubmit the app for Android Auto and see if they'll accept it.
Thanks for the quick response!
This is a very unwise Google behavior. The Android Auto ecosystem is very small and is developing much slower than it could.
Squeeze Ctrl is unique in its ability to integrate with Android Auto - it has no alternatives. I understand that this is not your fault, but nevertheless I very much ask you to do everything possible from you to return it. Now Google has deprived me of controlling music from the steering wheel of a car - it was damn convenient. Squeeze Ctrl controls a mini pc with daphile in my car audio system, I was really happy to find it!
Unfortunately, there's some bad news. After resubmitting multiple times with instructions on how to connect to a test server, Google still rejected the app for Android Auto with this reason:
At this time, we are only accepting apps within the Media, short form Messaging, or categories supported by the Android for Cars App Library. Media apps that use TSS engine readout for content are not permitted at this time.
Since Squeeze Ctrl does not fit into any of those categories, there's nothing I can do. I think Google got stricter with Android Auto recently because they started focusing their attention on it again.
Just installed LMS 8.0, imported my spotify artist.
When browsing the web UI of my LMS server I am able to navigate my artists perfectly.
Clicking on an artist in the web UI gives me the choice "browse on spotify".
When I go to squeeze CTRL (SC) and try to mimmick the same navigation as the web UI.
albeit clicking music, then artists, then I see the correct list of artists.
But when I click an artist, nothing happens.
spotify playlists work just fine from within SC
I tried resetting cache/storage of SC to no avail.
Even did a "trigger scan" within the app.
Try doing a full rescan of your music library.Hi Wayne,
I have used your apps on my squeezebox setup for many years. Thanks for all your efforts.
Minor niggle which only started in the last few weeks. On the drop-down jump to bar the list of artists jumps to the letter prior to the one I press, i.e. if I press E the list jumps to the start of D. Not a big issue but wondered if there is an easy fix.
I use LMS 8.1, Samsung S9, Android v10, SC v2.1.8
Cheers,
Richard
LMS had always supported 10 presets. Squeeze Ctrl used to only have 6 preset buttons because on a smaller phone in portrait orientation there was only room for 6 and since no Squeezebox had more than 6 preset buttons I didn't think SC needed more. Recently a user informed me that if the Squeezebox had a remote with a number pad, you can access all 10 presets by holding the corresponding number button and he asked if I could add more to Squeeze Ctrl.Hi, great app indeed!
Having 1 actual squeezebox for long, I was used to see 6 presets for it in Squeeze Ctrl. However, recently I bought an UE Smart that I downgraded to the squeezebox firmware, and then I was surprised to see 10 presets in Squeeze Ctrl (SC below) for this latter player. Thus I'm now wondering why I have only 6 on the actual squeezebox?
Indeed, I guess that the 5 more presets are specific to SC, and can't be used from the radio panel, am I correct? So, I thought I should have missed some SC setting for the older, But I couldn't find any...
Any clue?

It only shows the preset buttons that you have set.OK, thanks for the reply Wayne. But then, why only 6 presets are shown in SC for my genuine Squeezebox? Do I have to change some setting to get the all ten?
I just realized that what you meant by "genuine" Squeezebox is probably a pre-Logitech one. It's possible that LMS only supports 6 presets for older devices.Have done. No real change unfortunately. No worries, not a big deal.
