Staples will be selling new 3rd party cases Nexus 7 next week

Thanks for the info. I got all excited until I saw that it starts at $40. Back to Amazon.

Edit- ok nevermind someone said the $40 was the protection plan.

I think it's best to invest in a great case instead of going cheap. I learned that lesson the hard way with my Iconia A200. The case was cheap and boy did it feel that way. I would rather save and spend enough money for a solid case.

The problem with being an early adopter is that the really good cases won't be out for several weeks, which is why I'm getting a cheap case until then.

I have this case for $1,000.00 it is the most awesomeist caseist case ever oh and it is a solid not cheap case. Want it? --JK

It think it has more to do with research than how much you spend. Ignore marketing, weight the reviews, and if possible get hands on.

Those do look like the cases I saw when I got my Fire. The issue I had with them is that the straps in the book were stretched to their maximum. I wonder if these are the exact same cases I saw before?

You hit the nail on the head for sure and this is something I wish I would have put in there. I am waiting to see some results of the Treegloo *I think I got that right* cases. To see if they are worth the money. I am going into Staples to see how these cases feel. The hands on is probably one the most important.

As anyone been to Staples to take a look at there cases?

Square trade warranty was only 39 for 2 years with accidental drop damage coverage, cannot think that can be beat.

Went on Square Trade's home page, they show $27 for the warranty plus $33 for the accidental damage rider, bringing the total to $60 for 2-year coverage.

25% of the unit cost for a 2-year replacement is probably about right, but I think I'd rather buy a good quality case.

Did you get the Body Glove case? If you did, and how did it fit? Did the one you got have a stand?

Very disappointing, all they had were those ones from the sign and the packaging said "For Kindle Fire."
Guess, I'll have to check out Best Buy for a universal case.
