Static background noise using headphones on an S9 plus

[Android Central Question]

Hi,
Started having problems with loud background static noise when my headphones are plugged into my S9 plus.
This static noise is being heard from the receivers end.
But without the headphones plugged in, the noise is gone.

I've tried resetting everything but the statics is still there when my headphones are plugged in.

Do you know of anything else I could perhaps try?

Really? You know you need to vacuum it out and try a known working pair.
