Stay away from this phone

Why do kids and teenagers insist on writing like this in a public forum? Surely your vocabulary will allow for better self expression.

Hi everyone. My name is BygSii. You may not know me, but I work at a Connection Center. I activate phones for people for a living. I'm here to help everyone decide which phone is better for you. I'll list six things to consider for each phone. I'll start with the Pros of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Pros - Samsung Galaxy S4
1. Bigger Screen (4.99 inches).
2. Removable battery.
3. Expandable storage.
4. Software features. Such as Eye scroll and Hover.
5. Battery life. 2600mah battery.
6. More options for lock screen.

Pros - HTC One
1. Sharper screen (469 ppi).
2. Boomsound.
3. Wider field of vision on both front (Selfie mode) and back facing cameras.
4. Design was made to fit perfectly in the hand (curved back).
5. Blinkfeed. A little reminiscent of WP8.
6. Auto-fit Pages (zoom in on a paragraph from the web browser, text automatically adjust to the size of your screen, so you don't have to side scroll left and right to read each line of text.).

Both phones are great devices. I personally chose the HTC One. With it's better cameras and wider viewing angles, it's premium design similar to iPhone 5, it's better looking screen, it's blinkfeed reminiscent of WP8, awesome stereo boomsound speakers, the way it fits in my hand perfectly, and the better experience it has with web browsing. I would take all of those features over a faster processor, a bigger screen, expandable storage, removable battery, eye scroll features, narrow field of view cameras, and quiet speaker. But if you are into those kind of things, then good for you! :)

The HTC ONE does not have a better camera then the S4...IMHO-. but if you think it does, please explain.?

I can help with this:

The HTC One camera is better because it is not attached to an S4... :P

You're definitely right!
Although both phones are great and you can't really go wrong with either, the truth is that the camera on the GS4 is way better all around.

Here's the link. Camera Test: HTC One vs. The Galaxy S4 vs. iPhone 5 [PHOTOS] | ZAGGblog

1. Weight room. HTC One is brighter with a wider field of view, just look at the wall.
2. Banana. HTC one is sharper, and again has a wider field of view, look at the chair in the background and the right side of the table.
3. Backyard fence. For arguments sake, standing in the same position, the Galaxy S4 captures 56 peices of wood fencing, while the HTC One from the same spot captures a whopping 71 pieces of wood fencing plus another tree in the background that the Galaxy S4 could not manage to capture.

In every shot comparison, you can see the HTC One beats the S4 on taking better pictures. The S4 does have more mega pixels, which fill up your storage faster with unwanted mb. 100 pictures taken on the HTC is approximately 130mb. Where 100 photos taken on the S4 is around 600mb. Now who wants their memory filed up with narrow field of view pictures?

Mmmhhh...no!
That really doesn't help one bit!
Do you actually have any real facts or are you saying that just because you have the HTC One and like to believe it's camera is better then the camera on the Galaxy S4?

Have you tried them both?

I have, also have printed pics from both phones and the pics from the GS4 look way better. Even when those pics from the Galaxy are only at 8 MP or even 6 MP!

My almost 10 year old Canon DSLR 6MP camera is better than any phone I've seen.
Samsung says: More megapixels = better. HTC says larger pixels = better.
I say lens type is more important than megapixels / ultrapixels.... Just get the new Sony lenses that can attach to your phone and you should be all set... :D;)

But whose got 500 bucks for it?

Well, don't expect to spend $200+ on a smartphone and get great pictures.... The ALL have lens limitations (of course due to cosmetics, portability, etc).. To me, they are all just OK at taking pictures . ( I do admit that smartphone cameras have come a long way)

You could even spend about $100 for a point and shoot camera, and it will still be a lot better than any other smartphone out there (except for that new Samsung camera phone, but it is more of a camera than a phone....)
But nowadays, camera quality in smartphones have become a big contributor to the overall user experience and quality perception...

I concur. That's why I have a 3 years old Sony point & shoot camera for special occasions.

The draw of smartphone cameras is not really their photo quality, though that has definitely increased, but their accessibility. Its the camera you always have on hand. While my S4 takes pictures I'm not embarrassed about its not even remotely close to the quality of my low-sumer Sony Alpha a350 which is quite a bit lesser in ability than my pro-sumer Sony Alpha a700. Neither of these are really good cameras but they just blow away anything a smartphone can do. A big lens will do that. However, to use them requires planning and lugging them around whereas my S4 is just always there.

I took a picture with both the S4 and the HTC One, standing in the same spot, pointed at the same direction, here are the results.

Samsung Galaxy S4

HTC One

You decide.

Wow the HTC one is crisper with more color! I'd say the One is winner here hands down!!
