Stock email app cannot receive email through mobile network

Hi All,

My Galaxy Note III suddenly stopped receiving emails when connected to the mobile network.

1. When connected through wifi it works alright.
2. Surfing and app connections (apart from email) work ok through the mobile network and wifi
3. Removed the email account and recreated it. No difference.
4. Restart makes no difference either

Any clue someone?

Have you tried clearing the cache for the app? Settings>Apps>swipe over to all apps>scroll down and click>click clear cache.

Thanks for the suggestion but no better.
The email app seems to be blocked from communicating through the mobile network channel as if a pissed firewall :)

I can't think of anything else to suggest. Sorry.

From a Carbon M8 and AC Forums app
 
maybe one of these is the issue:
-- you have enabled the setting which restricts mobile data
-- there is a setting in the email app which says to only work on wifi, or something like that
-- sync has been disabled for email in google account settings
