Stock to Rooted Dinc w/ Froyo

This is a great thread that explains exactly how to do this using the RUU or OTA. I was rooted, but because i had clockworkmod recovery, no OTA for me, which I did not know. So I went up to step 3 (stock recovery) and am debating whether to load the RUU or wait for OTA now.

You could always grab one of the Froyo ROMs based on the RUU, and have Froyo right now. Just backup with Titanium, flash the ROM, restore apps with Titanium, and have fun.

I did this. But I had to extract the Rom file from the RUU. I just saw a screenshot of someone who had the OTA and it's the same build number (3.21.605.1). It did wipe my apps but that was pretty easily fixed with AppBrain, 5-10 minutes of installing and then I was able to rearrange my phone a little with the clean slate of my home screens. I'm really glad I did it as opposed to waiting for the OTA.
