As a noob, am just curious if everyone else here that is using TW stock like I am notices that the only way to get the weather widget on the home page to update is to tap the update icon in the lower right hand corner.. Shouldn't this happen automatically rather than manually? Just seems odd and yes, I realize this is a petty thing, but it doesn't make sense. Is there an easy solution?

Thanks much. Garnet red GS3 totally rocks!

As far as refreshing the temp etc. You can go into the settings and have it refresh every hour or up to 12 hours. My question is I have it set to find my current location in the settings but it never does. I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong.

No the default app just sucks. I have tried everything and it refuses to see me in the right city at my house, yet every other weather app sees it fine.

Mine never moves from the city I live in. It just always has that one shown.

Is GPS enabled? I had to ask. Every time that I select the refresh button, I have had no issues with refresh. I have it update periodically with no issues.

OK thanks.. didn't know there were settings for the widget. Do tell.

Mine seems to find the city I'm in OK.

On another front, the Foursquare app seems to have difficulty pinpointing where you are though, LOL. It obviously needs an update.

I set up a friend's S3 and I had to put in a city and then add another location using current location. Once it had the 2 locations it would start to auto update. You can still switch between displayed locations by swiping the widget.

If it's only refreshing once an hour, you have to force a refresh if you move to another location or wait until it refreshes on it's own. tap the refresh icon lower right and that should do it. If that doesn't find your new location, then you have other issues. I'd be looking at GPS settings.

Hey, but what the heck is the number "1" in the little sun mean? I thought it was the refresh time, but changing it.... still stays at 1. Is there a message I should be looking at? <--- how's this for a noob question?

Yeah I wondered about the #1 too.. sure wish the stock widget developers would have tutorials. It's like the bookmark widget that is stock. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to actually get any bookmarks to the widget!! Strange.
