Storage at 32GB or 16GB for Verizon?

16 GB of fixed storage is a deal-breaker at any price. If "official", then I'm officially out. I will wait until CES in January to see what's coming next in the Android pipeline. Neither the Droid, Rezound, nor the Nexus are compelling enough options to abandon my Droid X which still works flawlessly.

Very unfortunate turn of events.

I hope this is wrong but sadly it still has not been changed so I am not sure at this point but when you can not even trust the source who can you trust?

I'll bet Motorola announces the Bionic 2 at CES.

Could this be Samsung, not allowing the 32GB? Could it be Samsung having some problems with the phone and that is holding up the release?

Unequivocably, the answer is a big NO. That's Googles choice for storage, not Samsungs'. It would have to be a physical defect in the manufacturing the production models. Since there's been nothing stated to the contrary & the UK release has launched successfully. I just don't see how they could hold up the release.

Lucky you, I have to take a stroll down memory lane to recall the days when I ran Froyo on my DX, to
give a similiar response

All of this 16gb is CRAZY TALK, Even Verizon's July 15th 2010 flagship at the time the Droid X came with 8gb onboard 16gb sd card.

It just does not make any sense to offer a top tier device with non upgradeable 16gb, with about 12-14gb free.

I dont know about you, but I was one of of the guys who followed the Droid x from its original Verizon Gym leak blurry pics to pre-order-launch day. And Im about sick and tired of it at this point.

No real updated-custom kernels still due to locked bootloader.

The Camera no matter what you do is still SLOW,crashes and overall stinks on ice.

All MAJOR rom development has pretty much ceased due to the devs moving on to bigger and better things. *(and mainly most of us launch day Dx'ers are preparing to move on to the Nexus.)

Ill say it again, 16gb is crazy talk, I cant see verizon offering a top tier device like this with 16gb.

Im still holding out for a last minute Verizon only-exclusive Surprise on their version of the nexus b ut i wont hold my breath.

Verizon is not going to sell the Razr and Rezound with 32gb cards for $299 and then a 16gb Nexus for the same price. Even they wouldn't do that.

I feel DXers collective pain. I loved my DX when it was running Froyo, until the gingerbread OTA got pushed. That absolutely killed every ounce of joy I once had. I can't even play a video w/out crashing. Every 3 pix I shoot, causes a crash. It's ludicrous how effed up 2.3.3 made my DX. No solution in sight, either. Their last update just created more issues than it solved.

New member here (longtime Palm/WebOS user waiting to migrate to Android/ICS). I wonder if Apple might be part of the issue here. They could be "playing hardball" and trying to force Verizon to "dumb down" the Galaxy Nexus a bit, or else risk being moved to the back of the line of carriers for future iOS devices. Just a thought.

Ugh they trying to give us all heart attacks that way when we die they can sell nothing but Rezounds (phone is so overrated) and Razrs.

It really is not over rated at all and is a very nice phone that I bet many of us would have if we had been passed over on the Nexus yet again but I digress because I only have my eyes on the nexus. To me though the fact that Google still has not changed the memory on the nexus page from 16gb is strange and makes me a little worried that they have not caught their error yet.

I don't want this phone for the specs or I would wait for a tegra 3 phone it because its a nexus on verizon.16gb of storage is just not enough so hope that's a typo.

Razr is over rated. I would not say the rezound is overrated since it is getting great reviews so far.
