Straight Talk apn settings for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3

Re: Straight talk apn settings for at&t samsung galaxy s3

Recently flashed Carbon ROM KitKat and it comes preset with all the ST settings and AT&T, etc. The ones they supplied worked great.
For Data to work, you need the tfdata/port 80
for MMS to work, the cingular MMS settings seem to work best. I'm trying to find those in a stack of emails I saved. I'll put them here when I find them, if they aren't already posted.

Re: Straight talk apn settings for at&t samsung galaxy s3

Been lurking awhile looking thru a lot of stuff here trying to find an APN setting for a S3 i535 running a ATT ST sim 4.3. Text works, Internet works, but MMS fails to send or receive. Who has the identical setup UNROOTED with working MMS? Thanks

Re: Straight talk apn settings for at&t samsung galaxy s3

I have an att branded htc1x that I bought used. It functioned. Poorly, yet enough to inspire purchase. That was 2 months ago. For what it's worth, my experiences and now my fervid opinion, purchasing anything with an att logo is an exerise in wasting money. I have nothing good to say about att. They are holding my phone hostage because they can't resolve issues with previous owner(s). No amount of effort on my part has relieved me nor caused/guided them to rectify this issue. All I require is an unlock code so this pos will function as I desire through a different carrier(straighttalk).
If anyone has a recommendation that does not require me to return the phone - purchased at a flea market - I am anxious to hear it.
With computers, I have no problem resolving a conflict. With this, I may as well be trying to tune a toaster with a bowl of noodles. I can not make att understand that I have this phone. It is not any one else's. I do not want att as my service provider...has anybody ever been able to contact att via e-mail??? ... simply because they do not provide service. They are, imho, nothing more than a form of collection agency. You give them money and they stop bugging you until they feel you have had sufficient time to get more money for them.
My apologies for the rant. It is what it is.
Any help unlocking this pig is more than greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Oh, I realize this may not be the correct forum...it was the att lettering that caught my attention. I was replacing a galaxy s2 that the otterbox failed to protect and I ended up with a shattered lcd screen. Otterbox has yet to respond about culpability/responsibility.

Re: Straight talk apn settings for at&t samsung galaxy s3

I have tried all these. I only get data with the apn settings straight talk sent me. But no matter what apn setting I use I can not send mms messages. I am using a att Samsung galaxy s3. Anything you can do to help is appreciated. I am beyond frustrated.

Thanks

Kepp these settings
Name=Straight Talk
APN=tfdata
Port=80
MMSC=http://mms-tf.net
MMS proxy=mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port=80
APN type: default,supl,mms,internet,hipri.

But change proxy from mms3.tracfone.com to mms2.tracfone.com problem solved

you might want to fill in APN type: default,supl,mms,internet,hipri. I have an unlock Galaxy S3. My data an was never work until I added these APN type setting. I hope this help everyone =D

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had all the other settings just like straight talk was giving them to me, on and off the phone several times and no help from them. Was able to send regular text and use internet. Now I can finally send MMS again! Woohoo!

Try changing your APN type to : default,supl,MMS,internet,hipri

Hey all. I have a gs2 skyrocket and I have been through all combinations of apn settings. Is it possible I need a newer sim card? It's a full size sim. Not sure if they were LTE supported.

BTW phone data and mms works great on the old apn but it's only hspa not LTE.

Re: Straight talk apn settings for at&t samsung galaxy s3

Thank u it work....
I have an uloacked samsung galaxy S3 on branded AT&T. Went through all 5 pages, tried every APN on here. This is the only one that allowed me to send/receive MMS and still have everything else work right.

I too have a rooted, unlocked galaxy s3 and I've been trying different settings for close to a year now...I had been relying on my wifi to have internet, but could not get internet without it...I used these settings and they worked...I now have 4glte capability...and yes...mms capability...thank you...

ive had it less than a month it worked finr first two weeks .i tried the apn's and still doesn't work.also tried few others that were different.

This happen to me I had to add 2 apn's ( just added the same info twice) then the option to be able to choice one of them will appear. i have a + sign at the top of my screen to add apn, but some versions you have to hit the menu key(1st key on the left side of the home screen key on phone). It will give you option to add apn. It will not give you option to select until you add the last apn, so you'll have 3 apn's total .hope this helps
