Strange problem de-bloating after DL09

Here is the problem, never heard of it

- Phone was rooted and debloated

- moved all the apk back in to have the OTA DL09 gone through

- Re-rooted (yes, like many of you, took me about 5 tries to reroot again)

- Now the problem is when I try debloating again using Root Explorer, moving the apk back to sd card....

• Files were moved into SD card as in copies but the original apk from system/app folder still there
• Thought I pressed "Copy", so I tried moving again and same result.
• Tried deleting - confirmed deleted and when going back in its still there.

Any suggestion? I am confused to what to do here.

If you using Copy command then its going to make a copy. I'm assume your using Root Explorer or something like that? Root Explorer also has a Move command, which will move the file instead of making a copy.

If you have copies in both places, it should be safe to delete the one out of the app folder. Don't go deleting them if that is not the case tho.

why bother debloating. go with a build your own in rom manager or maybe super clean. the build your own you decide how or little blaot you want on your phone. no moving crap around. is it the ota updates you are doing this for? if so, dl09 was available to us weeks before the release. i mean the very same rom. it also looks like we are going to get 2.2 way before the release as well. the best thing abotu rooting is you are in control of your phone, whats on it and how it looks and feels.

This happened to me too...tried moving and deleting files and when I refreshed they were right back there. I just installed superclean and that got rid of them but I still can't delete stuff from there...dunno why, but the important thing is superclean took that stuff out for me so Im set now

what are you using to move the apk's

no no....this happened after ota update..right after I rooted, couldnt debloat. Not a problem now with superclean but it was puzzling

Not to state the obvious but in root explorer you might need to change the r/w properties of the folder. You can't actually move or delete in r/o mode.

Load the superclean rom, flashed the DL09 kernel to get the vib working again

glad your liking it. that way is so much easier than debloating yourself.
