Streaming Music to PC

Question for Everyone.

Coming from a Moto X/Galaxy S6 to the 6P. I used to be able to connect my phone to my PC and stream music to my PC yet have the actual data come through my phone. It was my little way of getting around our "no streaming" on the work network.

With with the 6P it doesn't seem to want to connect as a media streaming device. It just wants to be able to share contacts.

Is this a driver issue with the 6P or was that some proprietary feature built into the Moto X and the S6?

You need to pull down on the shade and change the connection status. I think it needs to be done every time, as a security measure.

Sorry - I'm not sure what you mean. I can connect to the PC...but it doesn't seem to identify itself as a media device to the 6P

Sorry...I was thinking of something else. You need to use the internet from the phone, correct?

No, I used to be able to connect the the PC as a media device. The bluetooth controls would even come up and let me skip tracks or whatever. But the actual data/music was streaming through the phone.

I'm not sure of the details of your hardware, but I can connect to my PC using Bluetooth and stream music with no problems.

Hmm...ok. That gives me something to work with. Funny that my S6 still can but my Np can't.
