Streaming music via WiFi and buffering/skiping/charger

My EVO 3D steams music streams music perfectly via WiFi when plugged into the charger. When it's not on the charger it always starts to skip (buffer). Is this a power saving mode or is there a setting I can change to stop this so it works with being plugged in to the charger via WiFi.

Could be an app running in the back round thats causing your device to work harder.
If your having battery issues that might also be the case.

Basically when its plugged in it allows the processor to use more power. Unplugged it tries to save energy. So if something else is running it could be using the processor more and causing the audio app to get laggy.
