Streaming video to xbox 360

I usually will download movies and put them on my phone then stream them to my xbox. For some reason it will always play fine for the first half hour or so then the playback becomes choppy, freezes, lags, etc. It is like that as well with my wife's GS4. Is there any kind of work around or something?
